Baby Products Reviews of my best friend Inflatable breast feeding pillowCustomer Review: A MUST HAVE!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best nursing pillow on the market. I have also used both pillows and the Boppy. My baby is 7 months old and I still use My Brest Friend. Boppies and pillows do not give the same comfort and support because they do not secure around the waist as this one does. It stays in place and I do not have to re-situate everything each time the baby shifts positions as I have had to do with pillows and the Boppy. I have found that I do not have any upper back, neck or shoulder discomfort while nursing and I believe that is due to the stability of this pillow. I highly recommend taking this to the hospital to use right away. It is also useful to support the baby while bottle feeding. Spend the extra money, it is well worth it.
Customer Review: Pros and Cons Summary: 3 Stars
After having my third c-section baby in three years, I tried this pillow (in a different fabric) - but didn't get it until my infant was three months old. I like the pocket on the side of it - that's great; however, I found overall it was a little too bulky for my taste. Because I work from home, I'm often sitting in an office chair when I nurse and this pillow was much too bulky for that. On the sofa, and in the bed - I think this pillow would be great. When I was at the computer, I used my Boppy (which I've had since my first was a newborn). Had I never tried a Boppy, I think I would've really liked this pillow. I also think this pillow would be wonderful for c-section moms -- anything to keep the baby off that incision!
Customer Review: SO much better than my Boppy Luxe ever was Summary: 5 Stars
Had, and used, a Boppy Luxe with my first child. It seemed fine, as I didn't know anything else.
Now with my second child, I KNOW there's something better out there - the My Brest Friend! It's firmer, and has more shape (no rolling off the back or into me, like with the rounded and flattened Boppy). It's wider and deeper, so it allows for much better positioning and more options for different holds. It secures, so I can move with it (including standing, if I have to!). It supports my back, so I'm more comfortable as well. And, it even has a handy pocket to hold a burp cloth, water bottle, and/or cordless phone - things I never seemed to have in reach before.
By FAR, the best nursing pillow out there!
Customer Review: Could not live without it Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered My Brest Friend 1 week before my son was born, even after receiving the Boppy as a gift. I had read so many wonderful reviews about the My Brest Friend that I knew I needed anything that would make my breastfeeding experience easier. The fact that the pillow is attached made it easier to get up during a feeding if necessary and answer the phone. There was also no worry of baby sinking between you and the pillow during a feeding. After 16 months of use I would say I got my monies worth! Though you do learn to use other things as they get older, I always preferred to use this. My son would even get excited when he would hear the "click" of the belt when I put it on! When I weaned we literally had to hide the pillow!
Customer Review: a waste of money Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this to nurse my first baby and used it until I realized a sofa pillow works just as well. MBF works great in bed and even in really wide chairs, but it is big (nearly two feet) and bulky. You need two hands to put it on, so you need to do some baby juggling to make it work, or thinking ahead of time (but I seldom do that in the middle of the night - baby cries, I pick him up - oh I forgot the !@#$ pillow again). The HUGE velcrow strip is almost a foot long and very loud when taking off. The rriippp sound woke my baby (and husband) every time I pulled it to remove the pillow. Also, because of its size, there is no easy way to store it between feedings. Feels kind of like wearing an inner tube to the beach...
