Customer Review: Great for Baby Food

This tray is great for freezing baby food. The flexibile silicone makes it very easy to get the cubes out; you don't have to twist and bend the tray like you would a plastic cube tray. It's great for portion control - you know how much you're giving baby and I like the 1 ounce option better than the 2 ounce products, because it makes it easier to give my baby more than one food item at each meal. I also prefer it over the individual containers with lids (I have both), because it allows me to make more food. I make one dish, freeze it, pop it out, store it in a freezer bag, and my container is freed up to make a different food the next day. I like that with the individual containers I can just stick one in the fridge the night before to thaw it out for the next day, but I soon realized that I wouldn't be able to re-use the containers until I gave my baby the food that was in it (it's not possible to pop out the food once it's frozen). So, storage options are tricky with individual containers. Whereas with the tray, you can re-use it as soon as you pop out the food. Since I like to make his food in bulk, this was the better option for me. I gave it four stars, because I do wish that it came with a lid of some sort. I don't get a lot of freezer burn by sticking it in a gallon freezer bag, but it's not a perfect system!
