Baby Products Reviews of green sprouts Ring Cool Soothing TeetherCustomer Review: Safe teether, baby's favorite Summary: 5 Stars
This is my baby's favorite teether. It can keep him gnawing for 30 minutes - an hour. This size was just right. There is another Green Sprouts teether (Silicone 2-pack) that is a lot smaller if you are looking for such, however, my baby liked this one better, and I don't have to worry about him jamming something small all the way into his mouth and gagging. It's a bit bigger than the palm of my hand. It is easy for him to hold on to and pick up again if he drops it. He seems to like the even shape better than he likes some of his other teethers in the shapes of fish, keys, hands, etc. which have corners that poke him in various surprising parts of his face. Its thickness seems to help him be able to teethe on it with his top and bottom gums simultaneously. He is about 8 months old and it is small enough that he can get it his open mouth and still have room to bite down a bit. It has a bit more "give" (softer) than some other teethers, but my baby seems to like that too. Best of all, I like that this is made of safe materials. I was going to buy the much more expensive natursutten teether, but when we were shopping, the natursutten teether Natursutten BPA-Free Chill-It Teether, Fish, 3-12 Monthshad been recalled in Canada so we went with this one. I'm happy we did.
Customer Review: Good idea but a bit stiff Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this before our son really started teething. In the beginning it was not a good toy because he had a lot of trouble grasping it. I had expected it to be more pliable like ones I had seen when I was a teenage babysitter. It's a bit thicker than what a 6-month old can grasp or put in the mouth depending on how skilled they are. Now that he's 9-10 months, it's very easy for him to grab and move around. He plays with it for awhile but it's not a favorite. In general, teething rings aren't a big hit with our son. Also, because it's clear, it's not as visually interesting.
Customer Review: great product! Summary: 5 Stars
i was looking for something my 8 mth old could chew on while she was in the bathtub. this is perfect! she loves holding and chewing on it. it floats and rinses off easily too. so much better than the other bath toys that contain bpa. great purchase!! also reccomend Boon Water Bugs Floating Bath Toys with Netgreen sprouts Stacking Cup Set
Customer Review: Not my Teether's First Choice Summary: 3 Stars
I recently received this Green Sprouts teether after ordering it in a desperate attempt to soothe my little one's teething woes. Though I really dig the "green" element of it, I'm not extremely impressed. My 11 month-old didn't take to it (not the products fault, but still). Also, it seems a tad flimsy as far as the plastic goes. It is thicker than I thought it would be (as in each individual disk is more voluminous) so it isn't ideal for smaller babies either. I'm sure some babies love it, mine simply was not one of those.
Customer Review: Poor design Summary: 2 Stars
We bought this for our teething 5 month old based on all the positive feedback. Unfortunately, this product has a faulty design ... the links are too large! The links on the ring are too wide for our son to actually get in his mouth and bite down. Our son is average for height and weight so he is by no means on the small side. He is able to get the links in his mouth, but barely, and it stretches his mouth to the max and he can't actually bite down to relieve the teething pressure.
