Customer Review: What a fabulous diaper!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased several bumGenius 2.0 diapers just before my son was born so that we could start using them on his little newborn tush as soon as possible. While we're still experimenting with other cloth diapers and covers as well, I've found the bumGenius diaper to be both super-convenient to use and very well constructed, too. They look a tiny bit bulky compared to the disposables, but they fit very snug and secure on my 8-lb. week-old boy, and they are easy for both myself and my husband to change. My also son seems to be happy wearing them. I took a chance and bought these based on very good customer reviews, and I'm glad I did. Although a bit pricey compared to separate fitted diapers/liners/covers, they are worth investing in if the budget allows, even if only for use when out with baby or when people not versed in cloth diapers need to change (i.e. grandparents). Highly recommended by this first-time mom!

Customer Review: GOOD, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS 4.0's
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought 6- 3.0's before our little guy was born. These did not fit him until he was about 9-9.5 lbs but, they truly look fantastic on, have great elastic and will get a long life out of the (they fit our 2.5 year old 33lb daughter also). The inner lining is not as soft as other diapers we use (FuzziBunz and Knickernappies) but, they make up for it by offering an easier to stuff pocket and incredible microfiber inserts.

Nevertheless, a month and a half after we bought these we heard the 4.0's were coming out. These are even better-- which is hard to do. Same great pocket stuffer, easier to replace elastic-- I was worried about this from reviews- and they come in a beloved snap version which looks even better than the aplix. Likewise, they fit better then the 3.0's we used just a day earlier.

Best product for the price!

Customer Review: Loved them at first.
Summary: 2 Stars

Loved these at first. We had the 2.0 version and then bought the 3.0 version. I wanted to make sure we had a large enough stash size so I bought 36 in total. Well, within about 6 months of use the velcro on all of them was trashed. We have a front loader and I was using Country Save detergent and followed their directions exactly. I didn't think much about it, but then they started leaking...EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I called and was given a list of things to try to strip them and they offered to send velcro tabs for me to replace myself, but as a busy mom of 3 I DO NOT have the time to sew. SO...I'm disappointed in their durability overall and after spending time on other diapering forums I see I'm not the only one. I wish I had read more reviews before purchasing.

The positives: They are one size and have a good fit.

Customer Review: Good but not perfect
Summary: 4 Stars

We have used these Diapers for 17 months, from 7 pounds to more than 30. They still fit -- and are super easy to use (daycare has no problem with them). But, we've been washing every other night and the wear is showing (which is a "bum"-mer, b/c we wanted these to last through 2 kids). The tabs in several are in need of replacement (but not most). The elastic in the legs of many of the diapers is going out, so I'm looking to find someone who can replace that, but this is frustrating and just one more thing to deal with. My son has also had recurring diaper rashes recently (no problems for first year) -- requiring us to buy liners. But the cream still gets on the diapers, compromising their absorbency. We haven't found a good solution to this problem. But I don't regret buying them one bit. Still more affordable than disposables.

Customer Review: Spend a little extra to get the BumGenius Organic with snaps.
Summary: 1 Stars

I am really disappointed in these diapers. I wish I would not have gone with the velcro, it is already showing signs of ware and the diapers are only a few weeks old. These diapers are also a pain to stuff. It takes forever!

Also, the diapers are not absorbant enough for night use because my little one nurses all night long...and he goes A LOT. There is no way these diapers could ever come close to being enough so we're still using our Mother-ease one size (doubled up) with separate cover for night time.

If I could purchase again I would go with the Bum Genius Organic, with snaps. The organic are a bit more pricey but don't require stuffing. They are plenty absorbant enough for day time use. As far as night goes, I do not believe that any all-in-one diaper could ever have enough absorbability.
