Baby Products Reviews of bumGenius 3.0 One-Size Cloth DiaperCustomer Review: Almost Perfect! Summary: 5 Stars
These diapers have been our favorite in our stash since our daughter was about 8 weeks old (before that they were too large even on the smallest setting). These are the diapers we always use when my mom or a friend babysits because they are as easy as a disposable diaper to put on and take off. They are easy to customize absorbtion - we sometimes add a hemp insert for nighttime wear, or replace the microfiber insert with hemp for a trimmer fit.
We air dry the covers to protect the aplix, but even so the closures are starting to fuzz and fray. Even though this is happening, I have to give these diapers 5 stars because they are so reliable, cute and easy to use. We have 8 in our stash and other than the aplix, the ones that have been used for six months look almost the same as the ones we purchased jsut two weeks ago.
Each baby is shaped differently and moves differently - I don't recommend any parent to stock up on just one brand or style of diaper without trying it first. However I do believe that BumGenius 3.0 one-size pocket diapers are a must-try diaper for any cloth diapering parent!
Customer Review: Two thumbs up! Summary: 5 Stars
I really wanted to cloth diaper our baby, 'cause I'm all crunchy granola like that. However, I did not want to fuss around with a lot of layers and pins and snaps. I also did not want do deal with leaks and mess. After doing a lot of research, I decided to purchase BumGenius diapers and have been using them exclusively since my son was a month old. These things are AWESOME! Even my friends who would never consider cloth diapering have been amazed and impressed at how easy these are to use. BumGenius are just as easy to put on and take off as disposable diapers. In my opinion, they are much more absorbent. We never have leaks. They are also very gentle on my baby's sensitive skin. We hardly ever need to use diaper cream, unlike my friends who use plastic diapers. It's perfectly easy to change these diapers on the go-- I just tuck dirty diapers into a small wet bag (also purchased on Amazon) and then toss them in the washer when I get home. I really wasn't sure if cloth diapering was going to be realistic given our busy lifestyle, but BumGenius has made me a total convert. This is a wonderful product!
Customer Review: Best diapers all around Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using Bum Genius 3.0 one size diapers on my son since he was 4 weeks old and he is now almost 13 months old. I have 24 of these and LOVE them. I only used disposable diapers on my daughter (who is now 4) and she got diaper rash all the time. Plus in disposables she had diaper "blow-outs" all the time. I rarely if ever have diaper leakage with these. I love all the colors and they wash up well as long as you follow the manufacturer's recommendations on washing. I use Tide Free and Clear to wash them and use bleach in a load about once a month with no fading. I am saving SO much money over disposables. I really wish I had used these for my daughter too. There are a million types of cloth diapers out there and I've only used a few brands but I still think these are the best. I love that they are one-size and grow with my son. I don't mind that they are the "pocket" diapers and am more than willing to stuff the inserts back in after they are dry from the dryer. Excellent diapers.
Customer Review: Great diapers! My top choice! Summary: 5 Stars
We love bumgenius 3.0 one size diapers!! This is our first experience with cloth diapers and my youngest son has been in them since he was 2 months old at 11 lbs. Rarely any leaking problems. In fact the few times I've used disposable at night when I hadnt washed my diapers in time the disposables always leaked! My cloth diapers are the best- even my husband will only use these! My chunker is now about 20 pounds and it still fits him great! I am still using the 2 inserts it comes with for him, and am saving my pennies to expand my collection! I will be buying only bumgenius. These are well worth the investment- ESPECIALLY if you will be having more than 1 child. I am so glad I decided to go this route- especially when all my friends keep bickering about the price of buying disposables. They are soft, extremely easy to clean, and in the year my son has been wearing his I have absolutely no stains on them yet! They still look brand new. I even wash mine every other day.
Customer Review: Bumgenius indeed! Summary: 5 Stars
My mother-in-law first bought us these diapers on recommendation from the staff at Tree City Diapers in Ann Arbor. We'd been having problems with blow outs they swore these would hold up. At first I was disappointed in how bulky the diapers were in size small, compared to other diapers like our Fuzzi Bunz; however, after I used them for a bit, I got used to the bulk and it no longer bothered me. We've never had a blow-out or leak when using these dipes and now at nearly nine months our son is a heavy wetter, so at night we load up the bumgenius with three hemp liners and he is good to go for 12 hours. Some of the other reviewers have complained up quality, but frankly my bumgenius are in much better shape than my Kushies or Fuzzi Bunz after 6 months (we used Swaddlebees for the first few months). In fact, they have zero stains (liners excluded) and the outside looks almost new and the stitching is in perfect shape, which cannot be said for my Fuzzi bunz!
