I did a ton of stroller research while pregnant, and came up with the Zippy as the best all around purchase. I got the Graco Snugride carseat, but did not want to purchase the accompanying stroller, because I heard too many stories of wheels popping off and I heard that once the baby outgrew the carseat, the stroller was too heavy for every day use. I wanted a more sturdy stroller and one that would last through babyhood.
My son is now 7 1/2 months old. So far, since he's been in the infant car seat, we successfully attached the snugride carseat to the Zippy using the straps. This was a bit of a pain, especially as compared to the way it would just snap into a graco stroller, but it worked and was safe. However, we DID ended up purchasing the snap-n-go, for ease at the mall or quick shopping trips.
Now that J is 7 1/2 months, we absolutely LOVE the Zippy. BEST Features: One-hand fold, light-weight and the canopy is huge - great in windy or inclement weather. We also LOVE LOVE LOVE how sturdy the stroller is. The sidewalks in our neighborhood rough and the stroller has withstood many many power walks around our house. The stroller also is a breeze over cobblestone and other rough roads in older neighborhoods.
ONLY DOWNSIDE: The basket underneath is way too small and is difficult to access. I thought this would not be an issue for me, as I didn't plan to be at the mall every day and need much space. But its even smaller that I expected and I got spoiled by the large basket in the snap-n-go. Oh well. I think this is a small price to pay for the other benefits.
