I purchased this set for my baby on the way. I was a little hesitant on paying so much for bedding that gets used for a relatively short period of time. With my previous children, I bought much cheaper sets and got what I paid for. They wore out and faded fairly quickly and only made it through one child. This set is beautiful. The quality is obvious. The bumper and comforter are twice as thick as cheaper versions and you cannot match the detail. The animals seem to jump right out at you. It is absolutely adorable and I like the fact that it is not "baby colors". Plus you get everything with this set including a diaper stacker and window valance. I also bought it when it was on sale so I got 15% off. Well worth it and althought this will be my last child, it could easily be passed on to another. Don't waste your time with cheaper versions.Customer Review: Better than I expected

I have always liked to use the reviews on Amazon to help me determine what products I will purchase. The reviews helped me decide to purchase this bedding set. With my last baby, we bought a bedding set from Target that was inexpensive. It was not good quality. It didn't fall apart but the bumper was small and didn't stay up well, the sheet didn't fit, but the comforter was okay. The quality of the fabrics on the Zanzibar was unbelievable. It did have different types of fabrics that were of different textures just as I had read. It is beautiful and the bumper is pretty substantial. I am delightfully shocked at this product. I only wish they had more of the accessories that match the set on this website. It is also going perfectly in our "girl" room. We were trying to stay away from pinks and this is perfectly fitting for a boy or a girl.Customer Review: Really nice bedding, but...

I received this set at a baby shower back in 2005. It has held up really well. My only advice: with a retail price of $232.00 and even an Amazon price of $152, it's still too steep. I never had the quilt in the crib because it is dangerous to do so with a baby - and he was constantly napping, so I hardly ever "made" the bed. Next time around, I'm going to find a pattern I like and just buy all of the decorative things associated with it, then buy an inexpensive and plain bumper and sheet. The room itself is what you and everyone else sees. The bedding is almost impossible to see, unless you're hovering over the crib.
I do especially love the lamp, switchplate, mobile and 5-pc wall hanging from this collection. You could buy all the accessories to truly create a safari room for less than the cost of the bedding alone.

This crib set is so wonderful! It is gorgeous and is perfect for a little boy's room if you don't want everything to be baby blue! The valance is big enough to fit even large windows. Obviously, the bumper and the comforter don't get much use until baby is older because of the risk of suffocation, but even with just the dust ruffle and sheet on the crib and the comforter hung over the end, it still looks like a complete set and is very nice. We completed the look with the mobile, hamper, lamp and wall hangings and our son's nursery is really nice and comfortable. The muted colors combined with dark red curtains has made his room a nice little cave that is so relaxed that he frequently sleeps in. And, you moms know, it is NICE to sleep in when you have a baby! We got this set for the nursery and we are so thrilled with it! As the manufacturer's review says, it's not the cutey-wutsey kind of set in your traditional boy or girl colors. It's a great choice if you plan on keeping your set for the next child. What the pictures can't tell you is how high quality the fabrics are. My son is only a month and a half old, and loves to stroke the fuzzy monkey on the crib bumper, or touch the elephant's corduroy ears. If I had one complaint, it would be that the sheet that comes with the set doesn't fit around the mattress for our crib that well, but we may have bought a thicker mattress than usual. There are also so many colors featured in this set, you have practically limitless choices if you want to paint your room in a complimentary color. I would highly recommend this set to anyone.
