Baby Products Reviews of Wizard Convertible Car Seat with LATCH in Midnight PrintCustomer Review: FITS IN MY VERY SMALL CAR! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this car seat for my 6 month old son almost a month ago. I have 2 other children(6&8) and I drive a ford focus. I didn't think it would fit but it did! My son loves the wings. It supports his head while he's sleeping. Best of all I bought it online at babiesrus.com for only $135.00!!! It retails for $269.00!!!
Customer Review: Still happy after almost 2 years! Summary: 5 StarsWe bought this seat when my daughter turned 1 to replace her Graco SnugRide. Now I wish we had bought it sooner. I spent DAYS reading online reviews of car seats before spending this kind of money, and it paid off. My wife and I are very happy with it and my daughter still loves it after sitting in it for almost 2 years. I like the side impact protection alot - I was considering the Marathon, but wanted the extra safety. Turns out the wings keep her head from slumping down when she sleeps (and she sleeps well in this seat).
I read the reviews where the parents were worried about the child being able to get their arms out of the straps. That is true - my daughter did it once, and only once. Turned out it was my fault for not properly adjusting the buckle high enough. For safety, it's supposed to sit up in front of her breast-plate. I had it way too low which allowed for slack in the straps. Ever since then, she hasn't been able to get out - she isn't strong enough to push the buckle down and I don't think many kids would be able to.
Our second child is due in a couple of weeks so I'm looking at the Britax Companion. We were pretty happy with the Graco SnugRide, but I've been so impressed with Britax's safety ratings and awesome quality that I'm thinking of upgrading. I'm also looking at the Britax Regent for when my daughter hits 40 pounds. Hopefully that will coincide with the time our second is big enough to go rear-facing in the Wizard. I won't even look at anything but Britax from now on...
Customer Review: Worth Every Penny! Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this seat last year when my large son was just 4 months old because he had exceeded the weight limit and was just too large for the infant seat we had (Peg Perego Prima Viaggio)
I have loved this seat since the day we bought it, and still love it now that my son is 21 months old and 33 pounds. I always feel safe knowing he is in this seat. Plus, compared to the others on the market its much sturdier and more comfortable for the child with its lush padding and fabric.
This seat has also held up remarkably well, it looks brand new and its more than a year old. I LOVE the side head restraints, and my son has never seemed to mind them. They are actually nice for when he falls asleep in the seat, his head doesnt slump over like it would in a seat without the restraints.
Overall i feel this seat was well worth the $269.99 we paid a year ago, and now that we are expecting our second son in three months, i will absolutely be purchasing another, i could not recommend this seat highly enough!
Customer Review: SAFE CAR SEAT Summary: 4 StarsTHE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT IT IS AGGRAVATING PUTTING THE BABY IN THE CAR SEAT AND IT IS HARD TO PUT THE CAR SEAT IN AND TAKE IT OUT.
Customer Review: Well worth the money!!! Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this carseat for my 5 month old son who had outgrown his infant car seat. I wanted the safest and yet easiest to use car seat available. I found it!! My son doesn't mind the side wings at all...he's not reclined too far so he's able to see his sister sitting next to him. He cried every time I put him in his old car seat...hasn't cried once in the Wizard! It's so comfy for him, I think! Thank you to all those who reviewed this car seat before I bought it...that was a major factor in getting my husband to let me spend the money. If I ever have any more children, they will start off in this carseat. There's nothing like peace of mind and a happy baby!
