Customer Review: Perfect shape teething and learning to pass from hand to hand

It seems like my 6 month old has been teething since birth. Recently, it's really amped up into the pain zone. He will bite anything, and hard. Thus, I've been on a search for something to replace my thumb knuckle. He's been gnawing his wide-mouthed bottle nipple lately, so when I saw the shape of the Blue Chan Pie, I figured it was worth a shot.
The moment my boy saw this little toy, he lit up. It went immediately into his mouth, and he was delighted with the shape, texture, and satisfying squeaks. I've never seen him teethe hard and smile at the same time.
The squeaker IS very sensitive - the smallest touch and it beeps. For my baby, that's a plus. When my 3 year old decided to shake the heck out of it, it was a bit of a drawback. I have a feeling my parents' dog is going to go insane when she hears it. Still, I'm glad for the sound. At this age, it really thrills my son when he knows that HE made something happen. The squeaky makes him really happy.
The texture and shape is absolutely perfect, as is the size. The nipple-like top is fantastic - my boy is having quite the time biting, then pulling so it kind of snaps out. He just got grabbing down, and is starting to learn passing. This toy is easy to grab, and easy to transfer. It's nice and soft, so it never gets stuck - it's easy for him to gnaw around and manipulate with both hands and mouth, until he gets the head back in prime chomping position.
As a teether, it seemed pricey, but now that it's here I can say it was worth every penny. It gives instant relief and distraction from teething pain, as well as doubling as a fun toy that is just right for this stage of his motor skill development.
