Customer Review: My Son Finally Enjoys Tummy Time

I was deeply concerned because my 3-month-old son hates tummy time and, as a result, he seemed to be missing some milestones -- including being able to lift his head 90? when on the belly. But whenever we put him on his tummy, he would just cry and cry, regardless of how many toys we dangled or how encouraging we were.
Thankfully I bought this mat, and he took to it immediately. I just prop him on his elbows and he lifts his head to look around from this vantage point. The first time he tolerated only about 5 minutes, but now he hangs out -- head held high -- for easily 20 minutes at a time. He doesn't even need the mirror, because he's so fascinated by the crinkly frog head and colorful ladybugs.
This toy is a lifesaver for us.
