First and foremost, the music puts ME to sleep. It is very soothing. There are a few things I don't like about the mobile. The volume only has two settings-high and low. It gets pretty loud and because it is in the crib, it can be pretty loud for a baby's ear. We've already started using it for our newborn, he may not see too far from his face, but he definitely can hear the sounds. The remote control is pretty handy, the only problem is you still have to get up and turn it on at the base before you can use the remote. Other moms of newborns have told me that the clicking sounds it makes from the toys sliding back and forth wakes their baby, but my baby just sleeps right through it. I guess it just depends on how much your baby can adapt to noise. Overall, it's big and a little over-stimulating, but the music is nice.Customer Review: My baby loves it!

My 2 month old loves this mobile! He likes that it moves and makes clicking sounds everytime the little toy ring pieces move back and forth. He likes the music, which is really soothing. Even my 8 year old does too! It IS a bit over-stimulating, but it does catch a baby's attention span for more than just a few minutes. I set my baby in his crib so I can take a quick shower with the mobile on, and he is just fine! The batteries in it lasted us about 2 months and so far nothing has fallen apart or broken off yet, so we are completely satisfied with this product. It is pretty pricey, wish we had gotten a cheaper version of this, but my husband wanted the remote control, which we have found that we do not use too often, so unless you really need a remote control, get the other designs for this mobile, they're cheaper.Customer Review: My Daughter Loves This Mobile!

We orginially bought the Gossamer Wings moble to match the bedroom, however I promptly returned it after my best friend explaining to me that the baby doesn't really see pastel colors for a while and wouldn't help her streghten her eyes plus we were going to have to rig it on her crib because it didn't fit right. She has the Emily Crib from Millon Dollar Baby. So I purchased this one. I first bought the one with out the remote for $10 less but there was a problem with it. So I exchanged it for this one instead. We haven't used the remote yet, because she doesn't sleep in her crib just yet, but I am sure it will come in handy later. The music is good quality, and the animals can be seen. It also has little shapes on there that move and make noise that get her attention. I bought this mobile after looking at tons. I work in an NICU and see lots of them that families bring in from home for their babies. I loved the bright colors and thought they would keep the baby's attention. I was a little concerned when I got it home because it was louder than I thought. I was also worried that the clacking noise the falling pieces make would scare the baby. I was so wrong. My son is now 3 months old and has loved that thing from birth. He has a pretty short attention span, and that is by far his favorite toy.I have had NO problem with the construction, I think it was made very well, and have used it continuously for the last 3 months. It went together in a snap, after I read the directions. I've gotten so much use out of it, if it breaks tomorrow, it was still worth every dime.

Like most, my little girl loves this mobile! Ever since she's been a month old, she's enjoyed it and still does. Either in her bouncer, swing or on the floor this mobile makes her smile and squeal with delight. The brightly colored animals keep her attention and she concentrates on the swirls under the "umbrellas".The remote is definitely worth the extra money (we were lucky, we received as a gift). I can be in the kitchen and restart the mobile in the family room.
Here's were the but comes in - since we use it throughout the day, the batteries need to be replaced. It's a hassle taking the mobile apart because it needs to be unscrewed. Also the connection of the arm to the machine is not as good as it was a month ago. It still works great but you have to make sure it's in the right position.
