Baby Products Reviews of Tiny Love Symphony-in-Motion Remote Mobile

Customer Review: Don't bother with the deluxe model
Summary: 3 Stars

I got this mobile as a gift. Our baby loved it's eyecatching colors and multiple types of motion. It's lovely to look at. The musical pieces are good, though the music quality could be better. But baby didn"t mind! A few things bugged me. They should make it height adjustable so you don't have to give it up once baby starts trying to get up on his own. Also I would like to run the mobile without the music. Mostly, don't spend the extra [money] on the deluxe model. The remote control (the only difference between them) doesn't work properly. You have to press a button to engage it and by the time you want to use it again it has disengaged. This forces you to use the buttons attached to the crib each time - so the remote is essentially useless. And it's one more piece of junk you have to find space for. Overall, it's a nice mobile, one of the nicer I've seen.

Customer Review: the BEST mobile ever
Summary: 5 Stars

We haven't had any of the problems that other reviewers have had. Since we took this out of the box after my baby shower, we were THRILLED with it. (We didn't care at that point if the baby liked it, WE loved it!!) Once she was born and moved into her crib, we found out that she loved it as much as we did! She loves the motion of all the animals and the colors and the umbrellas that spin around. The music is nice, if not a little loud (I tucked the speaker behind the crib bumper to dull the sound). We've never used the remote control because you have to be so close to the crib, it defeats the purpose. But, I would still recommend this mobile over all other mobiles. It's WELL worth the money. It makes her sooo happy, puts her to sleep and actually lets me get some stuff done around the house while she watches the mobile.

Customer Review: Gracie's Mommy
Summary: 5 Stars

This is by far the best mobile out there. My daughter is 7 months old and has loved this since she was 3 months. The colors are fabulous and there's so much to see as it goes around. At first, it may have been a little too stimulating, but now it works like a charm for naps. She smiles at them and "talks" to them/it then falls asleep when the music ends. It used to be one of the only things that would distract her and make her smile when crying or when I needed to get dressed etc. As w/all mobiles, I'll have to take it down when she can grab it. She loves to see it and grab it when we hold her up to it. The remote may not be too useful, but a couple of times it was helpful. No problems attaching it to the crib. I use the end rather than the side rails.
We love it. Three of our friends have it too and love it.

Customer Review: Great, but save money - skip the remote control!
Summary: 4 Stars

Our 3 1/2 month old son loves the Symphony in Motion mobile, even when it's not moving. The colors and shapes are very stimulating for little eyes and minds. Don't expect this mobile to put the baby to sleep, however - it's more for keeping the baby entertained for 15 minutes or so while you shower or do things around the house. My only major complaint is that I bought the one with the remote, thinking that it would work from our bedroom. The outside package did not mention that you have to be standing no farther from the crib than in the doorway of the nursery to make it work. (That piece of news didn't come until I had opened the box and read the instructions!) Hence, I spent $10 extra for the deluxe version with the remote, but I've never used the remote once. I'd recommend getting the model without the remote.

Customer Review: Wonderful
Summary: 5 Stars

Wonderful product. My son started turning this on himself at 5 months and he turned it on every morning after that. It kept him occupied in the mornings and I didn't even have to go in to turn it on. Before that it was great, too. I just had to turn it on for him and it lasts for about 15 minutes. At about 10-11 months I had to take the mobile down because he pulled it down on himself a few times. But at 13 months the sound box is still in there and he still turns it on.

Another GREAT product is the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium. We are getting even MORE use out of that because the entire product is still able to be used by an older child. He turns this on and stands up in his crib and changes the stations. It's wonderful. I highly recommend both if you would like some extra time when baby wakes up.
