Customer Review: Good, but why a remote?

This product looks and works as advertised. The mobile worked very well and was very attractive to watch- it definitely kept my baby's attention at times when we wanted him to stay in his crib. The music was mediocre in quality, and didn't seem to sooth my baby. He liked to hit all the buttons on it, so regardless of the music duration, it was always off long before that. The thing I hated the most was the remote. Unless your nursery is the size of a barn, I'm not sure why you would want a remote. It's just another piece of junk that takes AA batteries and clutters up a tabletop. That kind of poor engineering is just a waste of money.
I've had this product for 3 years now. Our second child has actually used it far more heavily than our first did. He turns it on each morning and listens to it on his own for a while before fully waking up. Sometimes hell do the same when he goes to bed. Everything has held up well over the years. I still hate the remote, though. i would have preferred to save $5 instead.

I got this mobile as a gift for my baby. I rarely use the mobile over her bed as she goes down easy. I use it more when I have her laying in her crib while I am trying to get something done. After maybe 10 uses, when my daughter was only 5 weeks old and was just starting to notice it, the mobile just stopped working. (The music would play, but it would not turn.) Babies R Us has wonderful customer service and exchanged it no problem. However, by the time she was 2 1/2 months old, the replacement mobile died. It also continued to play music but would no longer turn. This time I exchanged it for the Baby Einstein version rather than have to keep replacing it! I am very disappointed in the quality as I really liked the patterns, and my daughter liked looking at it even still. The remote was stupid as you had to press a button on the base unit for the remote to work, so it was just something to take up room. The music was Ok, but I wish it rotated between the composers rather than always starting on the same one.

We had purchased another "cutesy" mobile for our son (our first child) and he was not interested in it AT ALL. My husband's boss bought this as a gift for our son when he was about 2 months old, and he LOVES it. He would stare at it and be entirely interested in it. I would highly recommend it. There's something about the shapes and the way that it moves that no other mobile could compare to.
We had absolutely not trouble attaching it to the crib, and we've never had any problems w/ it. As my son got older (he's 9 months now) we used the mobile to put him to sleep, and it worked! of course now that he's bigger and can stand up in his crib he plays w/ it, lol.
We do go through batteries what seems like quite frequently, but in my opinion that's a small price to pay for how much entertainment our son gets out of it.
As for the remote control...we thought it was "cool", but we never use it!
Overall, a great mobile, a great investment for your child, boy or girl!
Customer Review: 3 Month Old's Favorite Toy

Our baby LOVES this mobile. The music, the motion, all of it!! He "dances" in his crib moving his arms and legs togther to the music and "coos" and "talks" to it getting very excited smiling and conversing with it.
He loved being in his crib even before he began sleeping in it. I think this partly helped make the transition to sleeping in the "big" crib easy for him since he had positive associations with it already.
I would recommend this mobile to everyone even with the kind-of hefty price tag. It is very nice to be able to place your baby in the safety of his crib and know he will play very happily while you complete a chore around the house or just take a moment for yourself, but watching your baby play "with" the mobie is just adorable.
It fits on our crib securely even though the head and footboards are curved. It has worked very well for us and Tiny Love is a very good company. Check out their website!
My son is now 8mos and still loves this mobile.
Customer Review: Stimulating to look at, but...

I LOVED this mobile from the box, but out of the box, it just didn't work as I had hoped:
1.) Our crib is slightly curved on the ends, so it was a challenge findng a safe place for it to mount without damaging the crib.
2.) As the next review says, there are two volumes: loud and medium. I had to put masking tape over to speaker to make it bearable for a sleepy baby.
3.) When it is spinning, there are little squares that slide down the mobile. Cute concept, but they make an awful racket that isn't even rhythmic.
4.) Like the review below, ours stopped spinning after a very short time in use. I didn't really mind, though because it stopped the scrapping noise of the little squares and let me just play the music.
In concept, this is a beautiful toy, and broken or not, my daughter still loves to look at the spirals and the toys. We have many Tiny Love toys and she enjoys them all, but this particular one has some bugs to work out.
