When I first took this mobile out of the box, I was disappointed. The shapes looked so weird I couldn't imagine why a child would be interested in them. But, leave it to my 1-month-old to prove my instinct wrong - she really likes looking at the funny shapes swirling overhead. By now, they've sort of grown on me, and they remind me somewhat of Dr Seuss' fanciful creations. I love the music that the mobile plays. The sound quality is quite good - not tinny or clunky at all. I haven't had the problem with the mobile falling over that other reviewers have had - it attached to the side of my baby's crib very securely. My big concern when we first started using the mobile was that the sliding rings on the arms would be too loud and wake the baby, but they've never seemed to bother her. The only thing I noticed was, on our crib at least, the mobile hangs very high up overhead, so our baby couldn't focus on it too well when she was very young. (We have a different mobile over her changing table that hangs much lower, and she was able to start to focus on that within a couple of weeks of birth.) However, I can see how hanging higher would be a plus as children get older and start trying to reach up and grab the mobile. All in all, I'm very satisfied.Customer Review: great buy, but........

We baught this mobile for our son when he was almost two months old, and from the start he was mesmerized by it. The music is great for putting him to sleep, in fact he is almost two and he STILL needs the music to fall asleep with! We take the music box with us on vacations, to grandmas for late night dates, EVERYWHERE he will be sleeping in an unfamiliar room!!! The batteries do need replaced everyfew months, but big woop. Our problem was that one day the mobile stopped working. It wouldn't turn at all. We tried replacing the batteries... nothing.
All in all it is a worthwhile buy, I will still buy a new one for my next child, but I will keep my reciept so it can be replaced if it breaks!!!

the product is great when it works. I was able to use it for about a month then all of a sudden it stopped rotating. I was never able to fix it and the instructions were in French so that did not help. I kept the music box part of the mobile and had to throw the rest of it away. Keep your receipt and box in case it breaks so you can return it. It is not a very durable mobile like the other winding types but it is better and your baby will really like it. Customer Review: A great Buy! A must!!!

Our baby girl loves this Mobile! The colors and shapes are fantastic! I love that there are three different songs she can listen to.. and as she has gotten older, she has learned to turn it on herself (though, sometimes I think it is by accident)
The only problem, my baby girl is now 6 months old and she can grab the shapes and pull on them. She wants to put them in her mouth, I am afraid that no matter how much I love this mobile, it will have to be taken down very soon.
Plus, it plays for 15 minutes, just long enough for you to get a shower!!!
