This is a great mobile for new babies. My son is now almost 3 months old and will stay entertained for the whole 15 minutes that the mobile spins. I sometimes will turn it on again if I need to! The colors and shapes are great, but the music is a bit irritating. There are two volume options and the lower is still loud, and not very gentle sounding. I put the crib bumper over it to muffle it a bit. There is no option to turn the music off but I found that if you carefully put the switch in between settings, the music won't play! I had a version of this moblie with my first born, six years ago, and am very glad I bought one.. both times!Customer Review: very stimulating!

We bought this mobile for my daughter when she was 3 weeks old...it took a week or so for her to get used to it, but now it is one of her FAVORITE toys. We do not use this to settle her down for naptime, but rather start the mobile first thing in the AM (as a matter of fact, we'll walk into the nursery in the morning and she'll be sitting in her crib waving her arms and waiting for the mobile to start) OR during the afternoon when she has some extra energy. This mobile can entertain her for 30-45 minutes. She loves to kick the animals as they rotate on the mobile - great for hand-foot coordination development! I love this mobile! My son is almost 5 weeks old and has loved it since we brought him home from the hospital. It doesn't put him to sleep, however, it entertains him while I change his clothes or put lotion on him, or if I need to get a quick chore done. The music lasts for 15 minutes, so I usually have to push the button again for him since he'll watch it for a good 20-30 minutes! I think now he's even trying to reach his little friends, it's so cute to watch him. Haven't had any trouble with the motor, my husband was even messing with it and hung an extra item on it for a little bit. Great mobile, worth every penny!Customer Review: Great Mobile

I really like this mobile. It keeps my 13 week old infant entertained and she also falls asleep to it from time to time. She gets so mesmorized by it that she will fall asleep. My only problem with it was the first one they sent me did not work but Amazon does such a great job with returning it that all I had to do was email them that it do not work and they sent me one right away to replace it and all I had to do was print the label out and postage and everything was taken care of, just had to drop it off at the post office. I actually got the replacement within 4 days so that is pretty good. They are on top of things.Customer Review: My Baby LOVES IT

I have this mobile since my baby was born, she is now 3 months old and she stills loves it!!!. When she was a new born she got relaxed with the music and now she follow the animals and talk to them. At night whe she is tired she falls sleep listening to the music.
I guess every baby has their own personality some will like some won't. let's hope that if you get this for your baby he/she will love it as my girl does.
Also if you care about giving a little more to yopur baby, babies enjoy the black and white color, they can not see shapes very well so this spirals call their atention very well.
