I purchased this mobile before my daughter was born and she hasn't paid much attention to it until the past week. She is now two months old and LOVES it. She talks to the animals and smiles and coos at them and has been doing so just now for almost 30 minutes. My only small complaint is that you can't have the mobile move without the music going, I would like to play different music. She loves the bright colors and follows the orange animal (not sure which animal it's supposed to be) around and around. I thought the animals were kinda obnoxious and wouldn't have picked this mobile if it wasn't for the positive reviews but I'm glad I did. The smiles on her face are worth it.Customer Review: Kids love this mobile!

We used this mobile for 2 of our kids and then we lost part of it so we were unable to use it for the 3rd one! Now the 4th baby is here and we have finally given up trying to find the lost part so we are buying another one of these mobiles!
Other ones are too quiet, my mom got a FP one for her house and she has to turn on other music as the kids could never hear hers! The oldest 2 love this mobile and the beads/music never bothered them.
The only thing I wish it had was a remote to turn it on from out of the room! It runs a long time but sometimes we needed it to go just a bit longer for the oldest so we had to sneak it and turn it on again!

My daughter absolutely loves this mobile. She is 5 months old now and we have had it since birth. We have never had a problem with it and the motor is whisper quiet. I was shocked to read that so many other people have had the motor die on them. My guess is that if the motor sounds loud to you, it may die, because I can't hear my motor at all. The music is wonderful and I love having separate selections. This is my third child and by far the best mobile I have purchased. In fact since it still keeps her attention at five months and she still loves the music I probably would buy another one if it died. Take a chance on this mobile because babies love it.Customer Review: Very entertaining

Love this mobile. This would keep her occupied for hours if I left her there to look at it. Her eyes light up when I turn it on. She gets so excited kicking and cooing away.
This is not a "sleepy" mobile. It's full of bright colors and cool designs. The way the mobile is slanted is brilliant. She focuses on each animal as it comes near her. I totally buy the black and white idea too after having this mobile. The only thing I would change is being able to turn off the music when the mobile is on, other than that it's great and educational.
Another plus is it takes 3 AA batteries unlike some toys that take pricey D cells

I don't know what everyone is writing about the music being too loud. I don't find it loud at all! There are two settings and the lowest one is perfect. My baby ADORES this mobile. The minute I hooked it up and put him in the crib to look at it, he couldn't contain himself. I wish I had gotten this much earlier than I did. Once I got it, I could suddenly take long showers and know he was being entertained, not crying, and totally happy for a while in his crib.
He's 5 months old now, and just starting to get a little bit bored with it because he can't touch it.
I *highly* recommend this mobile. The best baby toy I own, hands down.
