Customer Review: Awesome mobile, a little higher would be nice

My baby loves this mobile! He has been totally riveted by it since the beginning. So much so that in the beginning, I would put him down in the crib when he was sleepy and with the mobile off, he was so busy looking at the colors and shapes that he wouldn't go to sleep and would get re-energized! Now that it is "old hat", (he's 6 months) he still loves to look at it and watches it closely but he will go to sleep. The only thing I would change about this mobile is the height. Since it is a rather large mobile and the critters hang down pretty far, it is a little tricky to maneuver the baby to get him in and out of the crib without hitting his head on the mobile pieces. If the pieces didn't come down quite so low or if it had adjustable height, that would make things a little easier.
It's a really interesting mobile. You can almost see the little minds growing! It may not match the nursery colors or theme (kinda looks like Dr. Seuss) but the baby will love it and that's what it's about!

I love this mobile. I agree with other reviewers, the music sounds terrible. But, if you leave the volume switch half way between the loud and soft options the music doesn't play. You have to play with it a little bit to find the right spot. But, I "turned off" the music quite a while ago and it hasn't played since. The mobile still rotates just fine.
My 10 week old daughter is very hard to entertain. She never stays content for long unless she's being held in whatever position she's decided she prefers at that moment in time. But, I can put her in her crib under her mobile and she'll stay happy long enough for me to brush my teeth and wash my face, maybe even warm up a meal! She likes it so much she smiles and makes happy noises while she watches it. She'll only last for about 10-15 minutes at the most before she announces that it's time to pick her up, but that 10-15 minutes is keeping me sane.
So, if it wasn't for the music issue that would definitely get 5 stars.

My baby loves this, we bought a few days ago and she watches it for the full 15 minutes and more. She is 7 weeks old and is mesmerized. I didn't realize it but the dolls have counterweight balls that help it rotate under it's cone while it rotates around the tilted axis. Plus the sliding shapes on top give more for her to watch. It makes even more interesting to watch. It does not appear to have a silent feature as said in reviews, but we love the music and can't complain.

I knocked it down from 5 to 4 stars. We still love it but it is not impressive to me as the v-tech dream & play mobile which is hard to find in the USA from what I can tell. The features that the v-tech has which tiny love does not is very good volume control which can be adjusted from loud to very faint or no sound. The other feature I'd love to see is motion control feature that plays soft music and has a soft light that comes on.

I had this Mobile for my first son 5 years ago and got it for 25 dollars at toys r us granted on clearance but i believe full price it was still only 42.00. I have been hunting for it since May and this is the first i've seen it however it is in no way worth 169.99 my son loved it and I wish i would have takin it out of his crib sooner because he destroyed it trying to play with the stuffed toys when he was about 7 months old. I would suggest this mobile to anyone who asked but the price being asked is beyond outragous i suggest hunt around or find a different mobile. i would be willing to pay 40 dollars for this but that also includes the shipping and handling. Remember people this is a toy your child isnt actually supposed to play with physically and isnt supposed to use after 6-7 months any one would pay that amount for a mobile that isn't even made anymore and has probably been sitting in a box for 5 years is insaneCustomer Review: Great as mobile, then as music box for older babies!

We received this as a gift when I was pregnant and I admit I was a bit skeptical at first that we needed a mobile at all. However, this ended up being one of the best items we had received. My daughter enjoyed the mobile when she was young. Even better though is that now that she is older (almost 2) she loves the music without the mobile. She has learned how to turn on the music from inside the crib and we often hear her turn it on as she's initially trying to fall asleep or even sometimes in the middle of the night. This was a godsend when we were traveling a few months ago and she had to sleep in a strange Pack 'n Play. Having the music box there immediately gave her the feeling of her crib at home and she did not fuss about her new sleeping arrangements as long as she could play her music box. Now that I'm expecting a second, we will definitely be getting another Tiny Love mobile!
