Baby Products Reviews of The Peepee Teepee for the Sprinkling WeeWee: Airplanes in Laundry BagCustomer Review: Great if you can keep it on! Summary: 4 Stars
My new little one wiggles so much it's a little tricky to keep the teepee in place while I'm cleaning him up. He usually decided to squirt while I was checking his circumcision and therefore had his wee-wee uncovered. The one time I got lucky so far and had him covered when he went, it worked great. It took me a moment to realize he'd even done something. It prevents you getting a mouth- or eyeful of urine, but it obviously can't absorb the whole bladder's contents, so it still helps to be prepared with something absorbent underneath baby as well to catch any runoff.
Customer Review: These Teepee's came in handy! Summary: 4 Stars
My husband was disgusted when he found out I spent money on this product. "What a waste" he said. Well, the same night I received these teepee's our son had a very bad diaper rash. I put the teepee on and used a bandaid to secure it. He was able to sleep diaper-free all night long without making a big mess. His diaper rash was gone the next morning! My husband was impressed. The only improvement I'd wish for is for the teepee to be more absorbent. Maybe make some out of the same material in diapers?!
Customer Review: Worthless Summary: 1 Stars
These are cute and definitely a conversation piece, but they DO NOT WORK! A washcloth works better since it gets held on by his legs. This little pee pee teepee just fall right off when he moves! Now we're practicing Elimination Communication (read Diaper Free: The Gentle Wisdom of Natural Infant Hygiene) and make sure he pees before he's on the changing table, but these were a total waste of money.
Customer Review: Not worth the money Summary: 1 Stars
We ordered them for our newborn son because, obviously, he kept pissing on us. We got the Pee Pee Teepee's, put them on, and watched them fall off as soon as he squirmed (which he does all the time). Plus, he pretty much stopped peeing while we were changing him after week 3-4.
Cute idea and design, yet it was pretty much worthless to me. Seriously, I doubt if it would have even stayed on had he pissed into it. It weighs almost nothing.
Customer Review: Great concept, but not as useful as I hoped. Summary: 2 Stars
I think the concept of the peepee teepee is a good one. However, in practice, they don't really stay on very well, and at best, simply divert the "flow". If all you can really do is redirect your baby's pee, than an extra diaper, wash cloth or even a wipe will do the job. As cute as they are, we're just not using the ones we bought. I do think I'll stick them in my diaper bag, though... just in case I'm running short on wipes.
