Like other reviewers I found my son quickly grew out of the blanket by 6 weeks. While swaddling turned out to be a total life-saver, this specialty blanket seemed to be an expensive solution for a moments extra planning. What the arm straps and foot pocket really save are the moment before your child is swaddled. Whether calm or upset, care need to be taken with the swaddling in order for its intended effect. I didn't think this blanket was any more effective than a regular blanket.Customer Review: Wonderful While It Lasted

This blanket deserves its moniker as a "Miracle," and it's still my gift-of-choice for other new Moms. Unfortunately, our son is 6 months old, 18 lbs., and still needs to be swaddled to sleep effectively. We've long since cut foot holes in the bottom portion so that we could still use the arm restraints, but it's clear that he's too large for it and so I'm writing this review at 5:30 AM. I just wish there were an extra-large version for my still sleepless son.Customer Review: Best baby product you can buy... OK maybe there's others but this one saved our lives

... Ok maybe it didn't save our lives literally but we got a lot more sleep because of it! Our little girl loves the miracle blanket and she's now a bit too big for it. Forget trying to get the "hospital wrap" going on -- you'll never get it as tight as those nurses did and the little one will certainly wiggle out. The miracle blanket keeps them warm and snug all night, our little girl liked it so much she smiled when we put her into it at bedtime.Customer Review: Amazing!

This blanket keeps our daughter's arms and legs in, and allows her to sleep soundly! The other swaddling blankets out there don't work as well because babies still can manage to squirm their arms out and wake themselves up. (even the velcro kind) The miracle blanket is truly a miracle and I'm now buying it as a baby gift for all of my friends who are having babies! My daughter always calms down at night when she's swaddled. The Miracle Blanket never seemed to contain her though. She's almost 12 lbs and 24 inches long. I'm not sure if she's too long, but she would constantly kick out of the foot pouch. We went back to a swaddler with velcro which ended up working much better for us. Not sure if it's a length issue or I just have a really 'kicky' baby, but I found the Miracle Blanket to be the Sucky Blanket.
