I haven't used other tubs to compare this one to, but it met our needs just fine. We used the sling when he was a newborn, and now my 12-month old is still using the bath on the toddler side. He slides around too much in the regular tub, and this keeps him more under control, and it uses much less water than filling up the whole tub.
The temperature gauge has to get pretty darn hot to start changing color, so I don't use it. I never use it outside of the sink or tub, so I'm not sure how the leaking is.
No mildew problems so far, and I just drain it and air-dry it after each use.

We were given this tub by a neighbor whose little boy finally outgrew it. My little boy has been using it for about 5 months, now, and is a year old today. I can see him using this tub for a few months yet, too. I like the design, I like the two seat option, and the caddy on the end to hold toys, soaps, etc., but what's the deal with the temperature based color-changing tab in the bottom?? No matter what the temperature is I put in the tub, the tab stays the same color. It's a good thing I've got other bath toys that serve the same function, and ACTUALLY change color with water temps!Customer Review: Great for baby and toddler

We love this tub. We never bothered with the hammock so I can't comment on it. We still use it and she is almost 2 years old! We used the reclining side when she was a baby and used the toddler side after she could sit up on her on. It is so handy to be able to stand up straight at the kitchen sink and bathe her. Before I bought a tub, I thought about getting the Primo tub because it had such great reviews. However, when I saw it in the store, it looked gigantic. I took a chance on the less expensive First Years tub and I can't imagine anything being better.Customer Review: Better than any other baby bath!

This is the best baby bath out there. We've tried many, and this simple, inexpensive tub is the best. From brand new born, until toddler age, (just put them in the other direction) it is the easiest, and most comfortable. Even the newest of babies can lean comfortably back in this tub for bathing, and they will grow to love water. Forget the tubs with a sling - the water is at the perfect level for the smallest baby and they enjoy being immersed. Now we have a big toddler, and he'll still sit in it when we put it on the bench of the shower and shower with him.Customer Review: Using for my second

I first used this tub with my son and he loved it. When he was a baby the sling held him great and he always seemed very comfortable. after he outgrew the sling the tub held a generous amount of water so that he could play and i could add bubbles. he never slipped under or shifted from his upright position even when he couldn't fully suppose himself. on the one side they can lay back and the other they sit up, so it grows with your child. i'm using it again for my second. highly recommend. it is everything you would expect from a baby tub @ a great price.
