Baby Products Reviews of The First Years Sure Comfort Newborn to Toddler TubCustomer Review: Best tub we tried - by far Summary: 5 Stars
We went through three tubs before this, none of which was great. We started using this one at ~4 months. We used the sling until about 7.5 months (~18 lbs), when the weight of the baby would pull it down too far and her back would hit the ridge in the bottom. Now we are using it as a sit up tub. Wish we had found it when our baby was a newborn, would have saved us some troubles! The tub has a fresh rinse water section, although we have tended to set the baby tub in the full bathtub and also add a litte water to the tub to use for rinsing. If the baby tub gets to full of additional rinse water, then you can pull the drain plug for a few seconds.
Customer Review: Daddy & Mommy give this tub 2 thumbs up!!! Summary: 5 Stars
The sturdy sling on this tub is secure & our baby looks comfortable. We like how solid the tub feels, it doesn't move around when placed on a flat surface and drains easily. We've been using it very frequently for the past 3 months. I added a sponge mat underneith to make it super plush for our baby. Thanks to my insomnia during pregnancy, I was able to read tons of reviews that helped me make the right choice. Plus, I don't need to purchase another tub once he reaches the toddler stage, yahaaa! When baby grows out of it, I'm thinking of using it as a feet soaker or recycling it as a childrens planter in the garden. This tub is the way to go!
Customer Review: It's okay Summary: 3 Stars
When we first got this tub, we loved it, especially the infant sling! The sling was easy to clean and change the water. But as our daughter got bigger, the tub would slide around in the big tub when we'd lift her up to clean under her (around 18 months old). So we just moved her to the regular tub after that.
However...as time when on, a layer or scum built up around the "legs". I couldn't find a cleaning instrument that would fit down there to clean it out! I tried scum sprays and tried q-tips. So it could use it's own scrubbing brush just for those hard-to-reach areas! I'm looking at other models for my second child.
Customer Review: Love this little tub Summary: 5 Stars
We've loved this little tub! We used the sling insert for the first few weeks, then moved our new baby girl to the infant side. The non-slip coating on the infant ramp and "bump" in the bottom of the tub kept her safely upright while I washed her. She quickly discovered how much fun a bath can be! When she was able to sit up on her own, we moved her to the "toddler" side of the tub so she could sit upright. Baths became even more fun (and the kitchen even more wet!). I've recently retired this tub and moved our now 1 year old to the big bath tub and I must say I miss how much easier it was to bathe her in this tub.
Customer Review: I like this tub a lot Summary: 5 Stars
I got this tub as a baby shower gift and have been using it all the time. My baby tries to get up in it as some people write, but this is not the tub issue, this is just the thing babies do. I like that it has a toddler seat. My son is 8 months old now and I use it when I do not want to wait till the our big tub is filled with water (I use bath tub ring Aquababy).
The only thing I would have added is to put a strip thermometer. Then the tub would have been perfect. But it is really not a big deal since I have a floating duck thermometer and it works great.
Very good purchase!
