Baby Products Reviews of The First Years Sure Comfort Newborn to Toddler Tub

Customer Review: I love this tub!
Summary: 5 Stars

This tub is great because I was able to bathe my son without using both hands to hold him and I felt very secure about him not falling into the tub.
I did use the attachable sling for his sponge bath and just made sure the room was warm and he was covered . Once he was big enough, I used the infant side and he rested his back perfectly fine against the reclined area. You DO have to watch your baby from moving to the side of the tub in case they hit their head, but it depends on how much they move during their bath.
You can easily rinse their hair and body without really having to hold them, and the space for storing shampoo, towels, or rinse water does come in handy. The tub is easy to clean with a simple wash cloth, too.
The only problem w/this tub is that if you want to perch it on your tub, it will not fit all tubs, but that is a minor detail. All in all, I highly recommend this tub.

Customer Review: Just what you need
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter is only 3 months old but she is really enjoying this tub. I chose this one after much researching since it seemed to be the best for the price range and did not have the "bump in the middle" issue that other tubs seem to have.

She used the hammock when she was a couple of weeks old and it made it very easy to sponge bathe her since, as new parents, we felt very awkward with a little newborn in our hands and this made bathing her a little less scary. As soon as we could we sat her in the newborn side, though, because the sling keeps her whole body out of the water and cold (I suggest placing a washcloth over baby's chest, and to keep it wet with warm water during her bath so she does not get cold. We still do that.). Now she's splashing around like a pro!

It's easy to drain the water out and the built-in "pocket" is handy for keeping the baby soap and shampoo.

Customer Review: Simple and Convenient Tub for Birth and Past Age 1
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had and used this tub since my son was born. As a newborn the sling was perfect -- it supported him for bathtime, so I had both hands free for the soap and washcloth. When he could sit with support I moved him to the sloped support side which also worked great. Then when he was able to sit on his own I flipped the tub around and had him sit on the toddler side. He loved it there and loved playing and splashing in the water. I used this in my kitchen sink until he was 1 year old. I'm still using it now that he's 15 months old, but have moved it into the bathtub. The full-size bathtub is too slippery for him. Plus I fill this little tub almost to the top and have him covered to the middle of his stomach with water to help keep him warm during bath time. If I had to fill the full-size bathtub that much it would take a lot more water and I would be nervous about him sliding under the water.

Customer Review: So far so good
Summary: 5 Stars

We got this tub as a hand me down when our baby was born, but due to all the craziness that goes along with having a newborn and all the hand me downs that we received and had to sift through, we didn't start using this tub until after baby was a month old. So we never used the hammock/sling that came with it.

What I love about the tub is that it fits perfectly in our kitchen sink which is the perfect height for washing baby standing up. I've always seen others wash their babies in a tub on the floor or in the bathtub. I've tried that, and bending over or even sitting on a little stool to do so was cumbersome and not very comfortable at all. So far so good. I don't really have any complaints about the tub. We'll see how it goes as baby grows. We're still using the reclining infant side for our 3 month old.

Customer Review: DOES NOT INCLUDE SLING!
Summary: 4 Stars

This one does NOT include the sling! If you want the sling, they have it on Amazon (but you can also pick it up at Target).

I used this tub for my twins and it was the best! The sling really helps when they are tiny and slippery, the infant side is good and holds them well (the bump prevents them from sliding down), and the toddler side is good for when they can sit on their own. We used it until they were old enough for the real tub. With the sling, this would get 5 stars.

I bought this one for a baby shower gift expecting the sling to be included but the small print shows that it doesn't come with this one (if you scroll down on the page). After I received it, I realized there's one that is titled "with Sling". Amazon should change it so this one says "without sling".
