Medical-grade silicone. Cover snaps on to bottle base so it doesn't get lost on the go. Bottle features a medium/fast flow. These are absolutely the best bottles. We used Avent bottles for our first daughter and they leaked constantly. Our second daughter took to the soothie binky immediately in the hospital, so we decided to try the soothie bottles for her. She loved them and so did we. We are now a month away from baby girl number three, and will definitely use these bottles again. Highly recommended, especially if your baby uses the soothie binkies!
