I purchased this bottle warmer and as others have mentioned, I put the correct amount of water in the chamber but sometimes it stills either gets the bottle to hot or it doesn't warm it at all. So I find myself going downstairs to get a cup to warm the water in the microwave and finish warming the bottle or getting cold water from the faucet to cool the bottle. This it what the warmer is for convenience but, to me this particular unit is not. Now that my son is on the AVENT 12oz bottles (he is only 2 months old so I skipped the 9oz bottles might as well buy 12oz and put the amount of ounces you need instead of buying 9oz then 12oz save money that way in my opinion) it will not fit in the chamber so I had to go out and buy another unit. I brought the Especially for Baby Bottle Warmer and its great. This unit warms the bottle just right not to hot and not to cold. So if you are going to be using the AVENT bottles I suggest the Esp. for baby bottle warmer.Customer Review: This was great for about 3 wks

I don't know if we bought a defective warmer or if we just don't know how to use it right. We haven't had to use the cooler because we have a small refrigerator in the baby's room so I can't comment on that. But the warmer has never warmed the bottles consistantly. We put the same amount of water in every time and sometimes it's just right and sometimes it's too hot. We've had this warmer 3 1/2 weeks and now it is starting to not work. It is frustrating to put a bottle in, change my baby's diaper (while he's hungry) and then go to find my bottle is still cold. I even hold my hand over the warmer at first to see if it is warming and it seems to be but it's not. It works about every 3rd time. I give it 3 stars only because I haven't used the cooler part and can't comment on whether it works good or not. I'm not sure what we are going to do about this warmer but if we buy a new one, it won't be another one of these.Customer Review: Don't Waste Your Money

I bought this warmer when my middle daughter was born. I used it about 3 times when she was a baby. I put it away, and found it again when I was having my third child. I tried it again to see if I would like it, but ended up just getting up and going to the kitchen to my microwave to warm the bottles. This product does not heat the bottle consistently, and several times it made the bottle so hot I had to pour cold formula in the bottle just to cool it down. It also takes much longer than it says to heat up a bottle. I much prefer 30 seconds in the microwave than 2-3 minutes of waiting for this warmer to heat the bottle up. I know the "experts" do not recommend using a microwave to heat bottles, but if you just give the bottle a shake before serving to your little one, you shouldn't have a problem with burns. Anyway, you have to shake the bottle after using the bottle warmer, too.Customer Review: Did not work for me

This item did not work for me at all. It would either warm up the bottles too much or not at all. I would use the proper amount as sugggested to warm up my 4 oz bottles, but they would end up extremly hot so I would have to spend some more time cooling them. Then I tried warming up the 6oz bottles and it wouldn't warm them up at all. I'm not sure if I used either too much water or what.. i just never figured it out. Also, the bottles weren't really kept cool. I did fill up the plastic container with water and froze it.. its just that around 5am the water in the container was a room tempature at that point the bottle didn't need to be warm up at all.. may be I over reacted.. but I'm a first time mom and i just felt uneasy about the bottles being at room tempature. Anyways, finally I gave up and bought the Munchkin Healthflow Deluxe Bottle and Food Warmer and it works great!!Customer Review: A MUST FOR THE BEDROOM

We purchased this to use in our bedroom while our daughter is still in her bassinet. It is wonderful for those middle of the night feedings. We did not find it hard to use at all, and the bottles are pretty much always the same temeprature, and have never really been too hot or too cold. We use the Avent bottles (which are great, by the way) and they fit in there fine. She now (at 2 weeks) often sleeps through the night, so we don't need it quite so much anymore for nightime feedings, but we still use it during the day to warm her bottles. It takes a few minutes to warm up the bottle, but I change her diaper while it is warming, and it seems to work out well. And at least it shuts off by itself after the warming cycle is over . . . many other units do not. The cooler is a wonderful feature as well . . . saves us from going to the kitchen in the middle of the night!!
