I returned the Aquarium mobile (with projection) because it was hard to fit the crib and the projection was too far away for a new baby's eyes. I bought this instead and my baby loves it! I've used it since 2 months old and he's 7 months now and still loves it! He giggles at the "insects" as they float by and I can see him concentrate on the moon & stars shapes from the projection/bulb. It fits the crib great and I've even bought a second one for our second home up north!! I would definitely recommend this over the Aquarium mobile....Customer Review: Noisy as all get out

My wife bought this mobile for our newborn baby. Assembly was relatively easy and it looks nice but once we turned it on we were horrified! The rotating mechanism makes an awful grinding/clacking sound as it turns! I don't know if this is just a bad unit, or if this is a 'normal' sound but this clearly wont do. Back to the store with this puppy! Several other reviewers have mentioned similar problems so they've either got quality control issues at the factory or some peoples notions of 'soothing' are diametrically opposed to mine.Customer Review: Cute but gets jammed

This mobile is very cute,and is one of the few with lights, which is what my 5 month old son likes best about it. The songs are soothing, and it's nice to have a few to choose from so you don't get sick of listening to them.
The problem I have is that it had a problem with getting jammed since the day I bought it. We keep tightening the screws, and it will work for a few days, but then start jamming up again. When it jams it makes a really irritating clicking sound, which is definitely not soothing!

When I registered for this, I thought it was a little excessive. The projection, music and hanging bugs seemed like a lot going on. Boy was I wrong!! My 4 month old has loved it since his first nap in his crib. The butterfly is his favorite and he smiles at it each time it comes around! I start him out with everything on--lights, and music. Then taper down to just music and no lights, then to just the crickets. It works very well for us and I'm sooo glad my best friend bought it for us.Customer Review: We loved it!

Was surprised to see the other negative reviews so thought I would add my positive experience with this mobile. Ours is 2 1/2 years old, so maybe something in it changed recently, but ours ran fine and my girls loved it. My younger one got the hang of being able to push the buttons to change the music herself. I also liked the remote so I could turn it on without her seeing me (which would mean she would never settle down). Loved the little lights from it too.
