bought this item for my wife while traveling. works well. takes a little time but youre heating 7oz of formula from the outside, so that is to be expected. had no problems with getting it to turn on. just follow the directions and anticipate your childs hunger.Customer Review: Good for Long Road Trips. First off: This is useful only for the longer road trips. Not for use inside the city you live in and for commuting from daycare to home or to the mall.
We used it primarily for a family trip to Pittsburgh, PA from Rochester, NY in the winter. It was a lifesaver. We used it when the 6 month old had to feed and we had just passed the last rest area on the freeway.
The warmer takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to heat the milk up. Does a good job and gets it warm enough.
Is only compatible with the large bore cigarette lighter outlets (not the narrow kind that some cars have). Our 2008 Acura MDX has the wider kind, so does the 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, for example. However the 2008 Jeep Liberty (which we rented at one point) cannot take this size of power plug.
Given the time it takes to heat it, you need to plan in advance of feeding time. And if you're in a city where you have a restaurant or mall that has a microwave or other warmer - you can heat your formula much faster there...
As I said, this is for use when you are cruising along at 65 mph and there is nothing near by that can heat your milk.
Good product for that purpose.

We have the First Years Bottle Warmer in the house and it works great. So, we decided to buy the First Years Bottle Warmer for the car. I doesn't warm up a bottle as fast as I thought it would, but does warm up the bottle perfectly. When I leave the house, I plug it in. It usually takes about 15 minutes in my Honda Fit. At the end of the 15 minutes, the bottle is warmed up perfectly.Customer Review: It really works.

I really needed a warmer for on the go. I wasn't sure if this would work but it actually does. I would suggest that you do not wait until your baby is screaming for the milk to start it up because it does need a few minutes to get it warm enough otherwise this warmer has been a godsend for us.
