First off: This is useful only for the longer road trips. Not for use inside the city you live in and for commuting from daycare to home or to the mall.
We used it primarily for a family trip to Pittsburgh, PA from Rochester, NY in the winter. It was a lifesaver. We used it when the 6 month old had to feed and we had just passed the last rest area on the freeway.
The warmer takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to heat the milk up. Does a good job and gets it warm enough.
Is only compatible with the large bore cigarette lighter outlets (not the narrow kind that some cars have). Our 2008 Acura MDX has the wider kind, so does the 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, for example. However the 2008 Jeep Liberty (which we rented at one point) cannot take this size of power plug.
Given the time it takes to heat it, you need to plan in advance of feeding time. And if you're in a city where you have a restaurant or mall that has a microwave or other warmer - you can heat your formula much faster there...
As I said, this is for use when you are cruising along at 65 mph and there is nothing near by that can heat your milk.
Good product for that purpose.

We bought this when my son was about 6 months old for a 16 hour car trip. It takes about 20 minutes for it to warm up the bottle (water at room temperature), but we knew what time the baby would eat, so we planned ahead and the bottles were ready when we needed them. Had we waited till the kid was screaming, that would have been a veeeerrrryyyy long 20 minutes.
Make sure you read the instructions before using, so you know how to power it up.
Also, watch out that it is wrapped around the bottle properly (so the coils are coming into contact with parts of the bottle that have liquid in them). A few times we wrapped a bottle, then put it in the cup holder...the plastic bottle started to melt where the coil was touching and there was nothing inside to warm up. I think also, since we used Nuk bottles, which have a strange shape, that contributed to this minor setback.
I was really happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

I researched alot of bottle warmers before purchasing this one as I have a sensitive baby that likes her bottles to be a certain warm temperature. I was inthe process of weaning from breastmilk to formula and needed a convient way to warm the bottle while driving to see Grandma 6 hours away. The warmer worked very well as far as warming up the water before adding the formula. It took about 8-12 minutes to get room temperature water warm and I use the Dr. browns bottles. I did notice that the more clear, transparent Dr. Brown bottles take much longer to warm as that type of plastic must not conduct heat well. The opaque bottles warm better and faster. Cold, pre-made bottles do take more advanced planning to warm. But overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The warmer seems to work faster while you are driving instead of just parked for some reason.Customer Review: Awesome product!!! LIFE SAVER***

This works wonderfully and the safety feature w/ automatic shut off makes me rest easier. This is a must for anyone needing to heat a bottle while out or traveling. When we started formula feeding we realized all to quickly that many new stores and gas stations have automatic faucets that you are unable to control the temp of making it nearly impossible to heat a bottle while out. It makes you not want to go anywhere or becomes exhausting having to stop at 10 different places with two upset children before you can find somewhere that can accomidate. And, by that time your child is much to irrate and hungry that he/she is basically to upset to even realize the bottle is ready! This item warms bottle to perfect temp in approx 5 min and you can continue driving the entire time making life much much easier.
A MUST HAVE FOR ANY PARENT!!!

I was a little anxious about buying this bottle warmer because of the negative reviews, but I'm so glad I did! I specifically wanted this one because we use glass (BPA- and plastic-free!) bottles, and I needed something with flexibility and girth.
It is easy to slip the bottle in, adjust the velcro strap to make it tight-fitting, and then to push the bottle size button, and then the on button. The first time I used it I pushed the bottle down too far and it made the top of the glass hot. However, I make sure that the bottle is in correctly, and once it's going, the whole setup sits securely in the cupholder in our car.
Within 10 minutes the bottle is perfect and ready for a nice warm meal on these frigid days!
I would highly recommend this car bottle warmer for use with any bottles.
