Customer Review: Second try...
Summary: 3 Stars

I considered this when it was full price, 50 bucks. When I saw it for 25, I just had to get it. I took it back the next day because the latches that keep the buttons away from Baby broke and the buttons wouldn't work.

This second try has been better. I found it for 12.50 and decided that it would make a gift for someone else if it didn't work for me (man, I can be cruel :) This time, it seems to work pretty well. All the buttons work.

I did have a little trouble with the light because when the light is on, the button is pressed in. I have fingernails, so the button can be a bit tricky until you get the hang of it.

I am glad I decided to try this product again, but I wouldn't have paid the 50 bucks for it. If you can't find it on sale, get a regular CD player: they plug in and are cheaper.

Customer Review: Not for the long run
Summary: 3 Stars

I loved this CD player...for a while. It played well. The night light feature on it was just enough light in the crib. The cover over the buttons kept little fingers out. Then I realized that I was spending lots of batteries. Between the 2 to 3 naps a day, plus bedtime, I was going through the 2 "C" size batteries in about 10-14 days! Also, the bottons really started to give out. The "off" button actually broke off after about the 4th month of use. I guess I expected it to be a little sturdier for the price that it cost. Overall, I loved the concept of it and my daughter fell asleep so much faster with her lullaby music playing but I would think twice before recommending this product to a friend. Or at least warn her of the problems I encountered and let her decide if it is worth her money.

Customer Review: Wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing
Summary: 1 Stars

Now that I have, I agree with most. This is a very cheaply made product that is difficult to open and I can easily see how a few uses will loosen the poorly constructed hinges etc....

The sound is awful as well. I'm thinking for a little more money, I will purchase a small boom box with much better sound quality, ease of use and can get more use out of it. The light isn't that impressive either.

This is a good example of very poor workmanship. I was dissappointed from the minute I opened it and I tried to give it a chance but just found it difficult to use. From changing the battery to opening the front cover to opening the side to put in a CD -- Everything is hard to open and sticks real tight.

When I decided to return it, I read the other reviews and wish I had read them prior to buying.

Customer Review: Piece of Junk
Summary: 1 Stars

I was really excited when I got this because I thought that it was a great idea. However, after taking it out of the box and trying it out, I realized the concept is great, the quality isn't.

When I opened the plastic cover so I could have access to the buttons, all was good and in great shape. When I pressed the play button, the button broke. I pressed stop and took my CD out. When I closed the cover over the buttons, the latches broke, so the cover wouldn't stay closed.

The quality of this item is poor. I took mine back and the person who handled my return said that they get a lot of them back and are no longer going to carry them. You would be a lot better off just buying a little portable CD player and a separate night light.

Customer Review: Good Only Until Baby Sits Up
Summary: 1 Stars

We had this unit given to us as a shower gift. Wasn't thrilled because it required changing batteries every week and was very sensitive to skipping, but it did its purpose to soothe the baby to sleep with lullaby music. Our baby is now 13 mos. and we hadn't realized that he has been picking at the clips that secure it to the railing. Just yesterday we found he had finally managed to break off a piece and almost choked on it! We do not recommend this to be placed in a crib after your child has learned to sit up.. We have written to the company to have this put on the product info. Anyone who has this should remove it once the baby sits up! We wouldn't want any other parent to have to scoop a chunk of plastic out of your toddlers mouth.
