Customer Review: great for new babies but they don't last
Summary: 3 Stars

I had surgery when my exclusively breastfeeding son was 4 weeks old, so I was thrilled to find these bottles for him to use while he was away from me at such a young age. They worked great. He took to them without a problem, and came right back to nursing without confusion. They have been great, except it seems over the past six months I've had to replace the nipples too often due to cracking of the inner piece, which causes the milk to pour out and back up into the outer nipple. So, though they worked so well while he was a tiny babe, they just aren't lasting for us. I would buy them again, though, for a new babe, if only to use in the early months!

Customer Review: These did not work!
Summary: 1 Stars

Our baby had a hard time taking a bottle because the nipples all flowed too fast. I was returning to work soon and needing him to take a bottle. I bought this after trying so many nipples that I hoped would flow slower. He hated it. He is a breastfed baby and he refused to take this bottle. I made many attempts. It is not like breastfeeding at all. I finally found a nipple that flowed slow enough. Dr. Brown's preemie nipple! It is the slowest flowing one out there and you can use it on any standard sized bottle. I think it is terrible that a company makes their bottles an odd size so you have to buy all of their products. What a rip off!

Customer Review: Nipple still collapses
Summary: 1 Stars

My high-palate baby would collapse nipples on medela bottles and then try to breastfeed the same way. My LC recommended these, saying "they can't collapse." As the baby sucks, milk gets transferred from the inner nipple to the outer nipple. The problem is that initially, baby has to suck air out of the outer nipple in order for it to fill with milk, so they end up swallowing all of that air! And after all that, the nipple still collapsed. It might be good if your baby has breastfed exclusively for many months, but if you weren't able to breastfeed for whatever reason, this is not a bottle that will help you transition to that.

Customer Review: no nipple confusion!
Summary: 5 Stars

after only 2 weeks of breastfeeding, i had such bad mastitis that i could only pump and unable to put my baby on my breast. after trying many different brands, this is the ONLY one that my baby was able to drink from without choking. she was use to sucking from my breast to get milk, that when given a nipple, she sucked the same way and would choke through her whole feeding. most importantly, there was NO NIPPLE CONFUSION. i was able to put her right back onto my breast a week later. now, at 3 months, i mostly pump, but she still will latch if needed. great product to go hand-in-hand with breast feeding.

Customer Review: It does leak!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought a breastflow bottle for my son to try during his transition from breast to bottle, he did take the bottle, but it DOES leak. Unless I am doing something wrong, the whole idea of being similar to the breast and two nipples seemed fine but I do not use the bottle anymore because the leaking does not stop. It ends up he took every bottle, it was the milk that helped him switch. I tried the ready to use formula and he started to drink it from any bottle, Avent and Green Sprouts, which I really like, it has a soft nipple and it is BPA free. He now uses Avent and Green sprouts with regular formula.
