Description of The First Years Breastflow BPA Free Starter Set
Breastflow is the only feeding system that requires both suction and compression, just like breastfeeding. The nipple is designed to mimic the breast so baby can latch on and to encourage the same mouth and tongue position as breastfeeding. The double-nipple system requires both suction and compression, just like breastfeeding and baby controls the flow of milk. It's the bottle most like breastfeeding. The Breastflow System is ideal for nursing moms who would like to introduce a bottle, are returning to work, or need to supplement while their baby is in day care or with a caregiver. This was the last set of many bottles I tried to get my 3 month old, breastfeeding daughter to take a bottle (for the occasions when I have to leave her). She seemed to go straight to this, definitely faster than any other bottle. After about a week of one feeding a day with this bottle she's a pro and seems to like it just fine. The silicone outer nipple is much much softer than any other silicone nipples.
I haven't used it yet, but the kit comes with a handy little formula holder and 4 screw lids to fit the bottle without a nipple and the bottle brush is bent to fit the bottles perfectly!.
My only complaints: the multiple parts are just more for me to clean, and the nipples seem to fill on their own (without the compression part) and are a little hard to get out of the nipple chamber and back into the bottle - makes it a little wasteful (but only a little)
