Customer Review: I second that review from Babyquest!
Summary: 5 Stars

We use this warmer for all the bottles for Kathryn. I highly recommend it. Make sure to keep it clean so the tempature will stay regulated. If it starts getting too many mineral deposits in the bottom from the evaporated water, it doesn't heat properly.

It's compact enough that I take it on trips. I've even taken it with us when we go out to eat.

I agree that you need to shake the bottle to distribute the warmed milk from the bottom and mix it with the rest of the milk.

We have one at my folks out of town and one for here. I am getting another one for the daycare too! I tried another brand for the daycare, but I'm returning it because it doesn't work as well and is a lot harder to fill.

This heats up the bottle with steam instead of heating a lot of water.

Hope that helps! It's awesome!!!!

Customer Review: Simple and effective
Summary: 4 Stars

We have two bottle warmers so that we have one on each level of the house - this one and the more expensive Avent model and yet I prefer the First Years unit because it's simple to use especially in the middle of the night. I love that the water is steamed up and you don't have to empty it out like you do with the Avent model. And, I've found this unit to be more successful in achieving the desired temperature over the other model.

Only thing I don't like is that because the water gets steamed/burned up, it leaves a burned residue in the bottom which has to be cleaned out. However, I still prefer to do that than have to empty water out after every use as is the case with other units.

So, $20 model is easier to use and more effective than it's $60 competition. Go with this one - we wish we had two of these instead of one.

Customer Review: Must-have for Nite Time & Early Morning Feeding
Summary: 5 Stars

I read the reviews on this product and several others. I decided to buy this one and I am glad I did. During the day I don't need it because I make the formula on demand. Before we go to bed I make 2 bottles of formula and refrigerate it. When our baby wakes for those 1 AM and 6 AM feedings, I grab a bottle out of the fridge, throw it in the warmer, grab the baby, change her, and when we are ready for that bottle, it is perfect! Just the right temperature. I use the Evenflo bottles with mine, which work great. I, like the other buyers, have had to learn just how much water to add, but when you get it down pat, it works like a charm. I highly recommend this unit. It has simplified our lives and made those early feedings so much more pleasant. Love this item. It was well worth the purchase price and the convenience is worth that and more.

Customer Review: Not at all useful or up to par
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this in hopes that I could avoid standing over a pot of boiling water in the middle of the night to heat my newborn's bottle. She is impatient when it comes to waiting so I thought this little unit would do the trick. NO SUCH LUCK. The product review says it's stylish but who cares? What we really need is functionality and usability and this warmer is neither. It claims to heat up the bottle in 4 minutes but the milk is unevenly heated, the top of the bottle is cold and the base is scalding. The milk then needs to be shaken to even out the temperature...a real time sucker when you're in a hurry to feed a wailing baby. I tried to vary the amount of water I poured into the heating base but this didn't help. I'm lucky I didn't throw away my trusty little pot since I'm back to warming up the old fashioned way on the stove.

Customer Review: A Must Have
Summary: 5 Stars

I tried 2 warmers before this one and they were junk - some took 15-20 minutes to heat a bottle - this one is ready in about 2 minutes. Unlike some other reviews posted, mine heats consistently. I bought one for my babysitter's house and it works the same as the one at my house - very consistent. At first I had to experiment with how much water to add to get the bottle to the temperature that I desired but after I determined that - I use the same amout for each bottle and they always turn out perfect. I did find that the estimate of water needed to heat the bottle that they gave was too little to make a warm bottle - but bottles vary - I use Madela breatmilk bottles which are pretty thick so those bottle may require more water to heat than a thinner plastic bottle. If you plan to use a bottle warmer - this is the one I would buy.
