Ok, it's not the ultimate perfect warmer, but for the price and size it is a 5 star in my book.
I don't follow the directions, I just fill the water tube, dump it in and start it up. It will heat a full 5 oz. bottle with one tube of water. You just have to pay attention not to overheat smaller amounts or measure the water. It heats up quickly, actually quicker than a microwave or hot water.
It's a nice size for my counter top and I can stick it in a bag to travel with if needed.
It gets really hot, so don't try and remove the bottle with your fingers, use the provided bottle holder. I like that it also heats baby food jars too. I use evenflow and first years breastflow plastic 5oz. bottles. Glass not recommended in this. It says not to heat breastmilk, but I do anyway...I just watch really closely not to overheat it.

I ordered this item thinking I would never have to worry about having the right temp for the bottle. Well guess what - I keep using the regular cup of water as a warmer. This warmer suffers from several major flaws:
1. Steam operation - you put the water in using the measuring cup and you never know how much water is enough. For more than 3 ounces of milk even the max amount used in the measuring cup is never enough
2. The bottom of the steamer becomes brown from the tiny amounts of milk that supposedly leaks from the bottle during the warming - so each time you have to clean it out with a tough sponge
3. Even if the bottle is not warm enough you cannot turn on the warmer - it has a time period to cool down - and in the meantime your baby goes ballistic.
The bottom line is - don't buy it. Buy the simplest warmer available - from Avent for example

This is my third child, with my previous two I used the Gerber bottle warmer. It was slow and almost always did not heat up the bottles enough with one run. I ended up having to run it twice. It was such a pain that my second ended up getting his bottles cold by 6 weeks. I got this bottle warmer as a shower gift and love it. If you figure out what number you need to fill it to then you can leave the bottle in long past the light shutting off without it overheating. I find that at 6 with the avent bottles that the formula warms to perfect room temperature. All bottle warmers that use the steam method are going to get brown on the bottom and begin to smell, use viegar as you would the water with no bottle in it to clean it. No more smell and no more brown stuff. I wouldn't want to live without this warmer now. It heats fast for those middle of the night feedings!Customer Review: Love this little warmer!

I received this bottle warmer as a gift from my parents at my baby shower. This little warmer works great for all the bottles I've tried -- Muchkin Tri-flow, Gerber, and Dr. Brown's. The only thing I do before starting the warmer (besides adding the pre-measured water) is loosen the ring, so I don't get any overflow. For the Dr. Brown's bottles, I leave out the insert piece, and just replace it before serving. I do find that the condensation from the bottles causes some build-up of residue in the warming chamber, but this is no problem to wipe out between feedings. I don't try to get the formula warm; I just want to "knock the edge off" the cold when I pull it from the fridge. You can play with the water levels to get the formula to the temp you prefer for your baby.If you want a great bottle warmer for a reasonable price, this is the one for you.

When I first bought this, over a year ago, I was hesitant about the price - it being so low compared to other brands. Rest assured, this is all you will need! My finicky baby had to have his warm Alimentum. This bottle warmer is sooo quick and easy, I could put the water up to the predetermined line of the measurer(that comes with) poor it in and left it alone. It was ready within a minute and after a few shakes, it was the perfect temperature. This is also helpful for warming up baby food jars (Comes with a special attachment just for that purpose) The warmer was dropped twice on the floor so it can defently take a beating! Outside is easy to clean (the water deposits on the warmer - not so much) All in all It did the job for my little boy. And for $16 GET IT! And Get one for the Grandparents! Don't spend $30 on a bigger and bulker item that will do the same thing!
