We purchased this bassinet for our second child because our bedrooms are on different levels of our house. We keep the entire unit next to the bed and use it all the time. I love the bassinet portion because of the gentle vibration setting as well as the sounds and music options.
I too found that the base of the unit does not fit through the standard doorway so I move the bassinet section from room to room when needed for naps.
I have added two extras to make this even more useful for our newborn. I have added an extra pad with a sleep positioner on it as well as attaching a mirror (that would be used in the backseat of the car) to the handle in a position that allows me to see the baby when I am laying in bed. Our bed must be lower than most as the bassinet sits higher (even on the lowest position).
After just a few weeks use I wish I would have had this with my first child and am greatful I found it for our use now.

This bassinet is great! The pictures that someone download fail to explain to you the reason why the bottom of the bassinet is NOT level with the top. The top portion locks up into a seat AND because the top (where the head lays) is just a hair higher it helps with breathing.
I have had this for 7 months. When I am in by bedroom cleaning, I lock the top half up, lock my son into the straps and give him a book or toy. I don't have to worry about him crawling under the bed or out of the room. If I walk out, unlock the top so he is laying down and bring him with me to a different room.
I was going to get a moses basket but this serves as the bassinet and basket.
The light is perfect and dims off after a few minutes, the music is adjustable and the vibration is mild--also adjustable.
The entire bassinet can be adjust to a high or low setting. Everything is washable.
I loved this bassinet!

I absoulutely love this bassinet. I already had a bassinet from my first two son's, but fell in love with all the features on this one and had to have it. I love and use every single feature!!! Listen to all the warnings-- this WILL NOT fit through normal doorways. You will need to disassemble it to get it into a different room. Fortunately, all but 3 of my doors are double doors and the hallways & openings between rooms are also 2x wide. So, I can roll the bassinet anywhere I want and take him with me. It is 100% perfect for me. Most people will leave this in one room anyway-- like their bedroom or home office- and they will adore it, but if you like to relocate yours all over the house like I do (so I can peek in on the cutie while I clean) you may need to look at other options. If we still lived in our old house, I'd get this one and leave it where I am the most and use my old one to move about the house.Customer Review: I loved this item!

I registered for this bassinet due to all the rave reviews - and was not disappointed. About a month before my daughter was born we decided to buy a bigger house so my nursery was not set up for three months. This bassinet was my daughter's only bed. As a first time mom I was not comfortable about leaving her alone in a room and the fact that I could simply carry her from room to room without having to wake her was GREAT!
As other reviews have stated the mesh siding is wonderful. It really took a load off my mind to know that the sides were breathable.
I did not have a hard time removing the fabric for washing although an additional sheet would have been a nice feature.
I used ALL the electronic features even the vibrations - the ocean wave sound was such a favorite that my daughter still falls asleep to that sound (on a CD)
I would recommend this for anyone.

Let me make it clear that this bassinet/sleep system seems to be a very nice system. I can't be sure though because the system I received didn't have all the parts. Two support struts for the lower framework were completely missing. I am giving the one star review to Babies R Us for shipping me this defective system.
Please note that the missing struts are not at this point a manufacturers error. When I received it, this box had already been opened and retaped. Clearly someone knew that this box was missing parts and they decided to put it back into inventory anyway. As I received it this system is dangerously unstable and it is quite possible that someone might have received it and not realized that support struts were missing. This could have been very dangerous for someone's baby. I would advise everyone not to accept previously opened boxes from this sleazy seller.
