We bought this bassinet after the one we had was recalled! I did extra research to make sure this one was safe. Well, it may be safe but it's certainly not comfortable for parent or baby. The metal bars on the sides of the bassinet (the legs for when the bassinet is portable) are not padded so the baby can hit them and hurt themself when they are kicking or moving around; the "seat belt" is not removeable and is placed where baby sleeps. If you're not belting them in for their sleep then they are sleeping on top of the cumbersome belt - very uncomfortable!; The sleeping pad is too soft and bends in the middle - very uncomfortable; The bassinet is too high for our bed - and we have a very tall bed. Although the legs are adjustable they don't adjust enough; The carry arm is difficult to release (I'd be frustrated if I was trying to adjust this at night); The sleeping area is very small (much smaller than the other bassinet we had); The bassinet sits inside the stand as opposed to attaching to it. I didn't think that would be a problem (I read another person's review about that) until I put it together and I see that it's not as "snug" as it should be for safety's sake; and, finally, I believe, now that I see it, that there is NO REASON for there to be a changing pad on this bassinet. It just makes the whole contraption bulky, uncomfortable, and unsafe! A bassinet should be for sleeping only.
I will be dismantling this bassinet and returing it immediately!
Customer Review: Pretty but with unnecessary features... Needs thicker mattress!!!!

The sleep system looks pretty and matches any decor. I love that it is light and moves easily around the house. I also like the mesh material that allows airflow and helping prevent SIDS. It is also at a nice, comfortable height and doesn't take up a lot of space. I very much like the large storage area underneath.
Unfortunately, there are many aspects that are unnecessary. The change table is inconvenient to get to...if you have to move the bassinet off - where are you going to put it? Also, lowering the height makes the storage area and its ties look slouchy. So I never adjusted the height and thus could not use it as a cosleeper. My newborn also wasn't responsive to vibrations, the sounds, rocking, or the toys hanging from the canopy. She never even looked at the toys.
My biggest complaint is the 1/4 inch pad they call a mattress. When I put my hand on it, I could feel the straps underneath (they came out of the middle), which we didnt use, and the three sections of the bassinet base (I guess which are supposed to incline). I got a 2-inch bassinet mattress, which helped to soften the bumps and uneaven bottom of the bassinet.
To be honest, I would have preferred to have the baby sleeping next to me, especially during those exhausting frequent night feedings. But out of concern for her safety, using this bassinet wasn't too bad.

My wife and I are using this bassinet for our newborn daughter until her crib arrives, and so far, we have found that it has alot of nice features.
Our daughter sleeps comfortably in the bassinet, although we added a bassinet pad for extra comfort. She likes the variety of musical sounds, but the vibrating motor scares her, and we fell that it might be a little strong, even on the lowest setting.
We like the fact that the bassinet is height adjustable, and the highest setting is perfect for seeing into the bassinet from our bed.
The under-bassinet storage is convenient for the overnight supply of diapers, creams, wipes, etc.
The major inconveniences that we have found involve the base and wheels on the unit. The wheels are small, and are inadequate when trying to wheel the bassinet in and out of our carpeted bedroom. It feels as if you are dragging the unit across the carpet, and I constantly find myself checking the wheel locks, thinking that they might be in the locked position, which they never are.
Also the base is so wide that it does not fit through my standard side bedroom doorway. I need to tilt the unit sideways and upright in order to get it into the bedroom - which then tosses all of the supplies in the under-bassinet basket into a big messy pile.
Customer Review: MUST HAVE for new parents!

We bought this item when I was pregnant. After buying it, a few other moms told me that I probably would not use the bassinet for very long and that it was really just a waste of money. Boy were they wrong! This is by far one of the most valuable items we purchased for our daughter. I love the fact that it rocks. There were some nights that this was the only way to get her to sleep. Also love the fact that it sits up. This was extremely convenient when she was between 2-5 months. She hated laying down unless she was already asleep. I could put the seat up then buckle her in and she would sit and play while I got dressed in the morning (something I totally took for granted before she was born! haha) While I think the changing table is a great idea, we never really used it, as it was more of a hassle to pull the bassinet off every change than it was to just use a changing pad. Also nice that it has light and sounds and vibration. My daughter seemed to care less about this, but every baby is different. The bassinet itself is really beautiful when put togehter and looked really lovely in our room. Overall, I would say this is a wonderful bassinet and worth every cent. My daughter (who is currently 6 months) has come to love this bassinet so much that we actually had a hard time transitioning her to her crib!!!Customer Review: Great product

This was a great product! It allowed us to be near our daughter constantly wherever we were in the house in her first months of life. Absolutely a must have for a newborn. As far as it not being level as the lady who sent in the pictures with the level indicated... well there are no bassinets similar to this one that are perfectly level. The only thing that I would say is stick to a crib and a baby monitor if that is your concern. These are meant to be convenient and mobile. Otherwise, in order for the manufacturer to make a perfect level mattress with this product, that would end up making this product extremely heavy. And I never once felt that my childs breathing was ever in danger due to the mattress not being perfectly level. I feel this is a very good product and very convenient. Also allows parents to have peace of mind being able to have the baby near you and being able to hear the baby is okay, without having to rely on a baby monitor in the early months of life. Lots of features on this item make it a must have for a newborn. We loved it! Our daughter is now 3 1/2 months old and we are just now getting ready to sell it. But it was definitely worth the investment and peace of mind we got out of it knowing she was okay. As well as the convenience and freedom it allows.
