My baby was born tongue tied so breast feeding and bottle feeding was very difficult. I used the born free bottles because their nipples are longer and the milk is able to drip out. Once the surgery was performed on my daughter her tongue was able to move freely however she was still having a little trouble breastfeeding. These bottles helped teach my daughter how to latch on and suck properly on the breast. The nipple in nipple design is great i find that my daughter has less milk dribbling out of the sides of her mouth because she is controlling how much is flowing in, unlike the other bottles with dripped milk in her mouth regardless of if she sucked. The only possible downside (which isn't really a downside)is if you need to mix formula in the bottle you have to use the storage cap otherwise the milk will leak out when you shake it. (it does not leak when child is drinking)Customer Review: Fit our needs!

I'm happy to report that these bottles worked great for our son but I know that not all bottles will work for each baby (regardless of how great the reviews are). Our son was breastfeed for 3 months and when it was time for me to return to work, he was not happy about the bottle situation. A few different bottle brands later (and many tears) he finally latched onto the these! Thank goodness! Pros: latched on great, wide mouth making it easy to pour formula or milk into, easy to clean bottle with brush, stores in fridge well. Cons (this is such a little problem and hardly worth mentioning): double nipple adds 3 seconds extra to "cleaning" time. Good luck finding a great bottle for your child! Side note: some people reported that these bottles leaked but that's only if the double nipple is put in place properly. These bottles are great, I wish I had found them sooner! I had a lot of issues nursing when my daughter was first born and had to pump and give her bottles so she would gain weight. I was using the Dr. Brown's bottles and every time I went to nurse her after giving a bottle it was a nightmare, she didn't want to latch onto me! Since switching to these bottles I have had no problems at all. Not only is the bottle nipple very similar to a real nipple, there are very minimal parts to clean compared to Dr. Brown's. Some of the other reviews said that these bottles leak, so far I haven't had any problems with that. I would definitely recommend these bottles to breast-feeding moms!Customer Review: Great transition from breast to bottle

I introduced this bottle to my baby at 5 weeks old after I tryed Playtex disposable bottles that she was choking on even though it was the slow nipple. My baby took to this quite easily. I pump so that I can return to work soon and this allows my daughter to not over-eat and still be able to breast-feed since the bottle is close to breast. The only down-side is that milk gets trapped between the two nipples, but I've learned that if you pinch the outside nipple where it connects the the inner nipple it will drain back into bottle so that milk is not wasted. I also have to dishwash these, they don't clean up easily in a microwave sterilizer bag.Customer Review: We tried many bottles and this is the only one that worked!

My son took a bottle easily in the first few weeks, but after a few weeks of not having any bottles we tried to give him one. After a lot of screaming and crying we gave up and I resigned myself to not being able to ever give him a bottle. We tried again with many bottles - always ending in the same result. Then we found the Breastflow. He took to this bottle like a champ from the very beginning! Now we can give him a bottle any time and he is a lot easier to leave with others for a few hours. I would definately recommend this bottle to any breastfeeding mamas!
