I purchased these spoons thinking that they'd be a handy way to avoid the sometimes messy "wrist checks" for the temperature of the food.. However, these spoons, rather than changing color when the food is too hot, go white at anything other than room temperature, making it necessary to do the wrist-check for anything that is even slightly warmed up.
This means that they're essentially color-changing disposable plastic spoons that are slightly smaller than adult plastic spoons and worlds more expensive.
