Baby Products Reviews of The First Year's Infant To Toddler Tub with Sling, Blue

Customer Review: perfect!
Summary: 5 Stars

I wasn't sure when I was looking at tubs, but I'm glad I got this one. I used the sling for the first 2 weeks to sponge bath my 5 pound preemie, and despite his size, I felt that he was very secure, he stayed put. For those a little nervous about bathing a baby at first, (like my hubby) the sling is adjustable, so you can loosen it add a little more water, and use it for a regular bath. The drain plug warns if the water is too hot, which again is good for the nervous new parent. Now 2 months old, I use the infant, slanted seat side, and it works well for us. the padding reduces slipping. I also like the space to hold clean rinse water or bath supplies. The only thing they may want to add is a hook to hang this to dry, which some have. Otherwise, it's perfect and cheap. Some may be attracted to a few tubs that are bigger, but I think the size is perfect. It's roomy enough but not so big that the baby can "escape", or to mane the baby feel insecure. It's also easier to store than those monster tubs, too.

Customer Review: Perfect for my LITTLE man
Summary: 5 Stars

My son is going to be 4 months old soon and he is VERY small but very active. I registered for this tub because its cheaper, and much smaller than the other famous Euro Tub. I love this tub and do not regret my purchase. My son fits well in it and it fits securly in my double sink, making it much more comfortable for me to bathe him. I dont think that the tub "grips" so well but I just put one of those cheep baby towels under him. There is a space for his shampoos and soaps so I dont have to get the counter as wet. My son loves being in it and i dont expect him to outgrow it until around a year old! I also like that the water actually covers him and hes not soo cold (hes a winter baby). I drains really easily, but we always leave it upside-down on a separate dishrack and store it in the bottom of a sink. I dont see how anyone could find this too big, all infant tubs are and the folding ones really dont work. I love this tub and it makes bathtime fun for me and my very lively son.

Customer Review: Great for newborns, but not when the baby can sit up
Summary: 3 Stars

I loved this tub when my son was a tiny little newborn. The green hammock was perfect in every way. He looked so snug and secure while he was nestled over the bath water. It was easy to wash him and he was always happy at bath time. However, now my little man is 5 months old and he can sit up well on his own and we dont use the hammock any longer. The problem is the little "hump" in the middle part of the floor on the tub. If he stays sitting up, no problem what-so-ever. But, if he reclines back on the sloping back rest, his little [...] floats up and he ends up with that hard plastic hump smack in the small of his back. He looks terribly uncomfortable. I'm not sure how to fix this for him. I keep using it because he is too small for the real bath tub. I just keep holding on to him with one arm so as to not let him float up and end up in that uncomfortable position...which in turn makes it hard to wash a wiggly baby with one free hand. So.....again....great til they sit up!

Customer Review: Good Tub
Summary: 4 Stars

This tub is a great tub compared to the others out there. We used the sling feature when my son was little and it worked great for sponge baths. The sling is easy to put on and take off. He was able to reach his arms and/or legs over the side though. As a tub we found that we have to use it in our bigger bath tub since if you have a sink with tile on the counter, the tub doens't quite fit in the sink. It works great in the bath tub and we've gotten the tubside kneeler/step-tool to make it easier. Then we just turn the tub to drain the water out so we haen't dealt with the plug. The fish shape plug does have a grest use as a water temp gauge. It'll turn white if the water it too warm. At least you don't have to buy another water tempurature item for that purpose.

We've only used the newborn side and haven't used the infant/toddler side. I don't think we'll be able to use this tub when he's a toddler, though, since he's a little too active during bath time.

Customer Review: A Really Versatile Tub, and Good Value
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this tub after returning a different one which was more expensive, and much more inferior.
My daughter was a premature baby, so the sling was a brilliant addition, and helped me bath here easily in the first 6 weeks. The reclined position and Upright are nice features, but there is a tendency for the baby to slip around, even with little baby wash in the water, and you will find yourself having to steady them constantly. I know some people who have had problems with the reclined position with some children, but simply adding an inflatable bath pillow behind them, makes life a lot easier. I really don't think there is a "perfect" tub out there, but for the money this is one of the best I've seen, and used. My daughter is now 6 months old and loves here bath time, and I think one reason for this is the padded back support, and ample leg room. Stores easily, fits most sinks, and ultra lightweight - a baby product that will last, without breaking the bank.
