Baby Products Reviews of The First Year's Infant To Toddler Tub with Sling, Blue

Customer Review: Terrible Tub!!
Summary: 1 Stars

I was really nervous bathing my infant for the first time, especially since this is my first child. This tub did not help at all! I HATE this bath tub. I agree with the other low rated reviews completely because they seemed to have the same problems as I do. The design of the tub is really akward. My daughter has had problems with the tub from the beginning. She never fit properly in the infant part of the tub, and now that she is getting bigger, she pushes up with her feet. This causes her to slide, making the bar dividing the two parts go directly in her back. I am constantly scooting her back up in the seat also because there is hardly any room for her to sit there. I tried switching her to the other side, but she's not sitting on her own yet, and I found it hard to tilt her head back so that no shampoo got in her eyes. I am purchasing something different so that my daughter will be able to enjoy bath time and get to splash around a little instead of rushing through. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone!

Customer Review: Great product for the money
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm very pleased with this product.

Pro's
1. I love how this tub is designed to grow with the baby- unlike so many other products. The sling is definitely a nice feature, even if you only use it for a couple of weeks. The infant side was clearly very comfortable for our little one and set him at a great angle for me to wash him. I was worried that the tub would feel small once he was using the "sitting up" side but he still has quite a bit of room now at 7 months and 20 pounds.
2. The small basin is handy- I use it for washcloths, but also great as a clean water spot.
3. Tub worked well on our countertop. Now that baby is bigger, I use it in our single kitchen sink. Fits great and puts the tub at a very comfortable height for me.
4. Tub appears to be truly mildew-resistant.

Con's
None really- the tub is a bit bulky if you're in a small apartment, but I can't imagine a baby tub any smaller being very useful.

I'd highly recommend this tub.

Customer Review: Good Tub
Summary: 5 Stars

Well, so far this has been a very nice baby tub. I've been using it for about 2 1/2 months since my son was born. The main reason i chose it was for the little hammock that attaches for newborns. My baby seems quite comfortable lying in it and I find the fact that the tub fits PERFECTLY over my kitchen sink a huge plus (i have a double one). No braking my back or knees. And it stays very secure on the sink, so there's no worry of the tub slipping off. When using the hammock, you must be careful if your baby gets a little wild, kicking and what not, since he can easily roll off if he arches his back enough (the hammock hangs near the top of the tub instead of deep inside.)
The tub is a nice size, and has a built in compartment to hold shampoo, etc...Also, the plug on the bottom is a nice feature which drains fast and changes color if the water is too hot. I can't comment on how it is for older babies using it without the hammock, since my son is just under 3 months, but for newborns, I think it's great.

Customer Review: Pretty good, especially for the price!
Summary: 4 Stars

I have had a good-news/ bad-news experience with this tub. I bought it because of the hammock feature, which my daughter promptly decided she couldn't stand. So she's been down in the water pretty much from day one. I don't know that that's actually a problem with the tub, though- just be warned that some newborns may find the feeling of being suspended over the water pretty frightening!

Also, the drain plug has never changed color for me. Ever. It has always just been green and stayed green. I used the ducky that everyone has to check the water- that and my elbow.

Other than those two really minor issues, this was a great tub. I started with it on the sink, then moved to using in inside the tub when my little angel discovered the joy of splashing. (She found the big tub a bit overwhelming at first.) She's since moved on to just bathing in the big tub, but I'm hanging onto this and plan to use it with baby #2. (Another point in it's favor- a year of use, and it's still in good shape!)

Customer Review: Still Using it 12 Months Later
Summary: 5 Stars

My baby girl is 12 months old and we're still using this tub. It wasn't the one I originally registered for but after registering in the store I went online to read reviews and decided this one looked the best after all. I'm so glad I made that decision! The sling is invaluable for newborn bathing. We actually used it for several months. I didn't know how much I would appreciate it when I registered for this tub, but now I can't imagine not having a sling! It fit nicely in the kitchen sink, and now my daughter splashes around in it in the big tub. We stopped using this tub at about 10 months and started putting her in a bath ring. That worked for awhile, but now she's figured out how to get out of the ring, so we just started putting her on the toddler side of this tub. It works! She has no interest in climbing out because all of her toys are in the water, which is only inside the toddler tub. So, from newborn to at least one year, I only have good things to say about this tub. It's the best on the market!!!
