Baby Products Reviews of The First Year's Infant To Toddler Tub with Sling, BlueCustomer Review: Very good Bath and at a great price!!! Summary: 4 Stars
Originally we were gonna buy the Fisher Price rainforest bath. You gotta admit all the colors and toys really do make it look fun. However after reading the reviews on this bath seeing how popular this bath was not only on this site but on Babies-r-us as well we figured all these people cant all be wrong.
This bath is great. It fits great in the sink. Our bathroom sink is kind of a weird octagon kin of shape and it still was able to fit securely in it. Our son was born 8.5 lbs so by the time it came for him to take a real bath he was already too big for the hammock that comes with it. He seems to sit pretty comfortably and seems to really enjoy taking a bath. I think him feeling comfortable and safe has a major role in him enjoying bath time. The reason why I took off one star is mainly due to looks. I think it would be perfect if it was little more colorful and more kiddy colors than hospital colors. (just my personal opinion)
I would recommened this bath to everybody. This is a great bath at a great price.
Customer Review: A Must For Your Baby Registry Summary: 5 Stars
It's true! This tub is awesome and extremely versatile! The newborn hammock that comes with the tub is essential--especially for those of you first-time parents. It securely cradles your baby as you get acquainted and familiar with how to bathe your baby, so you can feel comfortable and at ease that your baby won't accidently slip out of your fumbling fingers. After you're comfortable with bathing baby, you can eliminate the hammock and submerge your baby into a comforting tub that gives complete head and neck support at a well-balanced angle. The only suggestion I have for anyone that uses this tub is that you place a cloth diaper where the baby would sit on the infant side to keep your baby from slipping.
I've always believed that the less amount of moving parts, the lesser risk of damage or injury. Thus, this tub has no moving or detachable parts, and I feel safe with knowing that my this tub won't suddenly break or fall apart. I can't wait until she can sit up on her own so I can use the toddler side of the tub!
Customer Review: Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I had originally bought the Safety 1st Fold-Up Tub, but that tub was shoddy (the folding mechanism snapped while my son was in it), so I exchanged it for this tub. This one was slightly more money, but still very affordable. And it's got very solid construction. I've been using it since my son was 3 weeks old. Now he's 9 weeks old and 13 pounds and he absolutely loves bath time! He's very secure in this tub. The back padding keeps him from slipping. The plug changes color if the water is too hot (I still always test it myself, but it's definitely accurate) and there's a little built-in shelf where I keep his soap and clean water. It's also not quite so enormous as some other tubs and it stores easily next to his changing table. Some people have complained about there being no hook to hang it up to dry, but I have found there's no need for one. I just lean it upside down in my tub while it dries - no problem. I love this tub and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive and safe tub to bathe their baby in.
Customer Review: I love this tub, and so does the baby. Summary: 5 Stars
After carefully reading all the reviews for bath tubs, I narrowed down my choice to this tub and the Euro tub because they had the best reviews. I finally went along with this tub because it wasn't as big and bulky as the Euro tub, and we don't have a lot of spare room. I must say we're very happy with our choice. Before my daughter's belly button stump fell off, we used the sling in this tub to bathe her. That was really helfpul because her stump didn't fall off until she was almost 4 weeks old, and sponge baths were a nightmare! She really liked her bottom touching the warm water and cried less this way. Once we were able to bathe her normally, the tub provided enough support to keep her in a reclined position comfortably. It has a cushioned back, so the baby is not resting on the plastic itself. It fits perfectly over the sink, so I don't have to strain my back to bathe my water-loving baby! When the water is too hot, the plug turns colors which is helpful. I absolutely love this tub and highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Best tub out there Summary: 5 Stars
Tub is great. Mine has a sling for newborns which is great & I still use for my almost 5 month old (she is tiny) because she can't sit up yet and she tends to slide to the side with out the sling. I used to use it at the kitchen sink but now I use it on the bathroom floor --works great in both places. One of the great features is the little ridge behind the back rest...I can dump water over my daughter's head without leaning her up and instead of the water running out of the tub it flows into the ridge and down into the tub--it has yet to splash on the carpet! There is also a nice little holder for the shampoo bottle which comes in handy. Highly reccomend this little tub! My sister wanted me to just get that cheap teddybear shaped sponge instead of a tub and use that but I have to say that when I used it that was the one and only time my daughter cried during bathtime. I think the foam was a little rough on her skin--her backside was all red when we were done. So even though this costs more it is very much worth the price.
