Customer Review: Great product, but needs adjusting.

I received this product as a baby shower gift. As I was assembling it I had found a problem with how it is manufactured. When I placed the batteries in, and tightened the cover as indicated, this mobile stopped working when I placed it on its back. I had discovered that there was a problem. There is a space between the batteries and the top cover. Therefore when it is placed on its back, the batteries fall out of alignment and it ceases to work properly. I contacted the company and am waiting to hear their response to this issue. For now, I had placed a special sponge on the inside cover that is used by most toy battery covers and it works fine. However, I am not sure if this is up to code.Customer Review: My baby loves this mobile!

We've had this mobile ever since our daughter arrived four months ago. She loves it!! It has bright, stimulating primary colors that a baby is first able to see. It has a wonderful choice of three classical tunes. It has a loud or soft volume control. I love that it turns itself off after 15 minutes. Our baby drifts off to sleep after a few minutes of staring at it. Even if she's not sleepy, she loves to "play" with it by cooing and kicking at it. It's very easy to put together. It's well worth the money!! One drawback-we had a problem with the on/off switch. It stopped working. We returned the mobile to the store and got another one. This one has been fine. I bought both types of the Symphony in Motion mobiles -- one for my son's crib at home, and the other for his crib at daycare. He absolutely loved both of them and would get so excited when I turned them on. However, both of them broke after only a few months of use. The on/off button is not making the right connection with the inside parts to turn it on. When I push the button, nothing happens. When it happened on the first one, I thought maybe it was a fluke. But when I had the same problem with the other one, I realized it might not be well made. I am really upset, too, because my son really loved both of them. Now he gets aggravated when he looks up at the mobile and it doesn't move.Customer Review: bedazzled

My twins love to watch it. They both laugh uncontrollably when we turn it on for them. It plays long enough to do other things around the house if needed, and usually two cycles puts them to sleep. Only a few minus points for this one. The batteries are in the back, (seems like it goes through alot of those). Even though it has two settings for the volume, it would be nice to have a silent mood and an adjustable volume. One other thing on my wish list for this one is a remote control. The button on my unit is hard to get it started. Seems like you have to hit it just right and may take up to 3-5 tries to get it to play. Other wise it is wonderful. While I cannot prove that my 2 year old's genius status is due to this mobile, I can say that during it's use, my son was enthralled. My husband's only job when the baby was born was to go to the store and get a lamp and a mobile. And he finally did something right. From day 3 thru 5 months my son would kick and raise his arms to the music and movement. It almost looked like he was leading the orchestra. The only down side for us is that it only lasted for one baby. We had to get a new one for this baby. Of course if you put the mobile away when your baby can actually reach it and pull on it, you might not have the same trouble. We are getting another one for our upcoming baby.
