Baby Products Reviews of SwaddleMe Adjustable Infant Wrap-Blue Cotton KnitCustomer Review: Receiving blankets far better Summary: 1 Stars
This product is a waste of money. First of all, it is actually more complicated to use than the traditional method of swaddling with a receiving blanket. Second, if your baby likes stretching her legs, she will quickly kick her feet out of the blanket, as it swaddles somewhat loosely for a newborn (and our girl is not a small newborn by any means, at 8lbs 4oz).
Trust me when I say that you get the hang of swaddling with a receving blanket by the end of the first day, so go for the blankets, which are more economical and provide a much more secure fit.
Customer Review: Okay for small newborns Summary: 3 Stars
This swaddle is so-so. We have twins and both are able to get loose when they are determind which renders it useless for the purpose.
They are now 2 months old but were 6 weeks early at around 5lbs - it was very useful for the first month.
I have tried 2 other swaddle blankets and I recommend the "amazing miracle blanket" - especially for babies 7lb and more.
Unlike this blanket the AMB has no velcro and relies on the baby's weight to keep secure. This translates to a much more robust solution.
Customer Review: GREAT product...Must Have for newborn Summary: 5 Stars
I made the mistake of not swaddling my newborn after the first week and she slept in 2-3 hour increments. I then remembered this item that we got at our shower. My baby is 5 weeks old and sleeps 5-7 hours a night now when swaddled. She is a strong one, so she would break "free" out of regular receiving blankets, so this is a must! We use the fleece and the cotton, both are great. If you have a fussy baby, these are the best!! I also suggest reading "The Happiest Baby on the Block", the 5 S's really do work.
Customer Review: Get some sleep for you and baby Summary: 5 Stars
My son refused to nap unless he was being held. We started swaddling him in the cotton swaddleme and like magic he was finally napping in his crib and sleeping longer through the night. The cotton one did stretch a lot but we just wrapped it around him more and it was fine. We went on to buy the large swaddleme as well. We just stopped swaddling him with the swaddleme and he is 5 months old! Highly recommend!!!
Customer Review: Not What I was looking for Summary: 2 Stars
A friend gave us the fleece Kiddopotamus which we loved. I loved the idea of a cotton one because we had a summer baby and didn't want him to get too hot in the summertime. The cotton version stretches too much and our little one kicked himself out of it every night, so we ended up using the fleece ones afterall. He couldn't kick himself out of the fleece one because it didn't stretch like the cotton ones. :(
