Customer Review: Best swaddle blanket out there, period!

We used half a dozen different types of blankets for our son when he was a newborn and this was the best, by far.
The most important thing is the size. It is big enough to use as a swaddle blanket for several months. Our little guy quickly outgrew the standard size receiving blankets.
This blanket is nice and lightweight, but still warm and cozy. The material is soft and washes well. I love this sage dot pattern because it is gender neutral.
The blanket material has no "give" so your little one won't undo the swaddle. It stays nice and snug, unlike the swaddle blankets that have velcro and are made with stretchy material.
It is very basic and simple (unlike one swaddle blanket which I ordered that was the strangest shape and required so much wrapping). And for those sleepless nights when you're on auto-pilot, there are even swaddling instructions located discreetly on the blanket's tag.
I would recommend purchasing two of these. We only had one the first time around since this was the last blanket we purchased (and the one we were finally happy with) so we already had tons of other blankets to use as backups when this was in the wash. We are expecting again and I'm buying a second swaddledesigns blanket, so I always have one.
Definitely worth the money!

This is a great swaddle blanket. So many people give "receiving blankets" as baby gifts, but all the ones I got are far too small to actually swaddle a baby. This is pretty, soft, washes well, and easy to use -- especially with the diagram/instructions right on the blanket. This is the best swaddling blanket we have found! Other blankets are just not big enough for a secure swaddle. Until we found this one, the hospital-issue blanket was the only one that would work well (and those are not the cutest design). We really needed a spare, so I ordered this one even though the price seemed a little high. It was worth every penny since its generous size works even better than the hospital blanket. I am ordering another in a different color so we have a spare in this type now. The fabric is just right; not too thin nor too heavy. If it was heavier, the baby would get too hot. The book "The Happiest Baby on the Block" was a godsend for us (which uses swaddling as part of a method to calm a fussy/collicky baby) and this blanket is exactly what we needed to implement the techniques well.Customer Review: Love these blankets!

These are the BEST receiving blankets ever! I got the first one before my second baby was born, and I bought 3 more very shortly after his birth. They are big enough, soft, durable and very convenient.
