I have no idea why some people have had issues with this gate. I own 2 of them. They fit perfectly, remain in place and look absolutely gorgeous. I also called Summer customer service with a couple of questions and they were really nice and helpful. I have the gates in doorway openings to prevent my dogs from wandering too far. If I pulled really hard on them, they might move but I do not believe that is what they are made to withstand. If you tighten the fittings well enough and make sure everything is square, I cannot see these gates moving easily....just my 5 cents...
