Baby Products Reviews of Summer Infant Newborn-To-Toddler Bath Center & ShowerCustomer Review: not very useful Summary: 1 Stars
I found that this tub wasn't very useful. The padding would not fit into the sink and our 4lb baby keep sliding down it. The first tub we bought the shower sprayer was broken, and then we had a hard time exchanging it for a new one, then the exchanged one, the shower didn't last very long and the water came out so slow it wouldn't rinse out the soap in his hair. We thought that the shower sprayer was such a great thing when we bought this product but we ended up using it about 6 times, plus the button was to hard to push. We found that a dixie cup worked great. This tub is really only good for a couple of months because there is no leg room after that. This tub got extremely hard to use when our son wasn't sitting up all by himself because it has not sitting support so you really had to have two people to give your child a bath. All in all I wouldn't recommed this tub. For the price you are not getting your money worth.
Customer Review: You gotta be kidding me... Summary: 1 Stars
I knew this was a mistake but it ended up on our regisrty anyway. First of all, the hose between the pump and shower head is flimsy and wrinkled - not even remotely round as shown in the nice picture on the box. Pretty obvious that a kinked hose doesn't work very well.Next problem - the electrical switch is in the shower head and the contacts back at the pump end are unreliable - hence the other reviews that said that it doesn't even work. A couple of whacks gets it going - a highly specialized troubleshooting technique ;) Next problem - they made an attempt to put a rubber seal around the battery compartment, which would have worked fine if it was built properly - like out of a block of aluminum. But a crappy seal is a crappy seal and batteries and water don't mix. And the last problem is that the flow is ridiculously slow! Come on, a dixie cup to dip water is good enough for my kid - and yours. Buy the $16 tub.
Customer Review: not worth the money Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased the toddler tub with shower. I thought it was a good idea to get something that would go from newborn to toddler and the shower feature was something I thought would be very handy. I found out that the sling that is used for the newborn in the sink does not fit your kitchen sink unless you have a full sink with with no divider in between. The shower feature does not work great at all. You first have to unscrew many screws to place 4 AA batteries in it and then you press the button for the little shower feature to work and it hardly sprays, you can use a cup and rinse the baby off easier and faster. The button on top when pressing gets in the way of the place the water sprays out. I was so frustrated with this product, I took it back before my baby was born. This is the most expensive tub out there so I thought it was better, boy was I wrong. Get a cheaper one and don't waste your money on this one.
Customer Review: Tub portion is good, shower portion is junk Summary: 3 Stars
I was wooed by the shower gimmick and, as with almost every other poster, the shower component was initially very weak then broke within a few uses. At first I was going to return it but I decided to research other tubs and evaluate the tub portion separate from the shower. I realized that the tub component worked well for my child, he can sit up on his own so I use it without the sling and he loves to splash around in the water. Looking at other tubs the only comparable one seems to be the Eurobath, which costs the same. So, if you buy it for the tub portion alone it still seems like an ok buy. If you just think of the shower part as a free add-on that, if it doesn't work didn't cost you anything, than it's not a bad purchase but if you buy it expressly for the shower you will be disappointed. All in all the tub portion works well for me, my baby is happy in it so it is worth the money (twenty-five bucks).
Customer Review: Big disappointment in product and company Summary: 2 Stars
I received this shower/tub as a gift after putting it on my registry. It looked like it would be great, however, the shower only worked the first two times I used it, then it died. I contacted the company via email. I didn't get the friendly response I expected, i.e. some sort of apology or whatever, but instead received a flat, "give me your address and I'll send you another shower unit". Ok, fine...I received the new shower unit and guess what?...it didn't even work the first time we tried it! I contacted the company again several days ago and I'm still waiting for a response. I am still using the tub and sling (which is ripping and my daughter is only 9 weeks old) but she is already getting too long to use the tub in this position. She doesn't have much leg room even without the shower unit in there. I would never recommend this tub unless they improved on the design. It would be great if it worked!
