Baby Products Reviews of Summer Infant Mother's Touch Comfort Bath SupportCustomer Review: best way i know to bathe a baby Summary: 5 Stars
i looked around at reviews before putting this on my registry and i am so glad that i did. this is the easiest way i can think of to bathe a baby, so much better than bulky plastic tubs. you just use it in a low level of water in the family bathtub. the material is breathable and soft, but don't be fooled because it dries out easily and quickly too. it only takes about 15 minutes to go from saturated to completely dry. this product laughs in the face of mildew. i especially like the loop that makes it easy to hang up for drying or out-of-the-way storage. you don't have to sacrifice comfort for function.
if you are looking for possible negative aspects, the pillow floats a bit if you fill the tub very full. it isn't really a problem , but maybe worth mentioning if you fear your baby may float away to the other end of the bathtub. the metal rod on the back has come off, but it is really so simple to reposition that i wouldn't call that a "con" either. it hasn't ever come off when my baby was on it... just when i was prepping the bath area.
Customer Review: Easy and Painless setup and Comfortable! Summary: 4 Stars
I tossed out my bulky tub once I saw this. This is soft and comfortable for the little ones. It fits even in a kitchen sink. I used it in our Stand up shower, Tub, Sink. I will say however, if you are expecting to use this for a long time, this wont work for larger infants. I only used it for the first few months. But to me, that is when I felt I needed this most. Once my baby was bigger, we wouldn't stay in anything that would confine him, he wanted to sit up, so I doubt I would have used anything else either.
This was perfect for when they need the support and they slide around. You just hand it to dry and its ready for use the next time. Ours still looks new and can be used again, by someone else, it held up well. But I can see where if you get a defective on, perhaps they would tear easier. For the price, I would buy this again. It was invaluable help.
Customer Review: Great bath sling - my baby loved it! Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this bath sling! And so did my son! He wasn't too keen on the other types of slings and bath tubs that are hard plastic (and who would be) This one is soft and squishy. The only thing that I didn't like was that it took a long time to drain (but we put a hook up in the tub and could leave it there all day and by bath time the next night it was dry). And at around six months of use it started to look a little moldy, but since we really didn't use it after six months (when my son could sit up on his own in the tub) it was great for the perfect amount of time. I would recommend it to a friend and I think that it is great for newborns. It holds in the tub water, so they are warm from that and it is squishy and soft so they aren't sitting on uncomfortable plastic and wailing away the whole bath time - bath time can be enjoyable for them!
Customer Review: AWESOME!! Summary: 5 Stars
I NEVER WRITE A REVIEW ON ANYTHING UNLESS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE OR HATE IT AND THIS BATH PILLOW I LOVE!! I WISH I HAD GOTTEN IT WHEN MY BABY WAS A NEWBORN, SHE IS ALMOST 4 MO OLD NOW. IT IS SO SOFT AND COMFY AND MY DAUGHTER LOVES IT. I PUT IT IN MY BATHTUB W/ WARM WATER AND SHE JUST LAYS THERE WHILE I WASH HER. AT FIRST SHES A LIL COLD UNTIL I POUR WARM WATER ON HER BUT THE PILLOW HOLDS WATER WELL SO SHE IS WARM WHILE IM WASHING HER. THIS IS PERFECT FOR NEWBORNS BC IT RECLINES AND YOU CAN RAISE IT UP. IT DRIES QUICKLY, I JUST HANG IT UP IN THE SHOWER AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH MILDEW WHATSOEVER. THIS IS JUST A REALLY GOOD PRODUCT AND FOR $15 BUCKS IS A GREAT DEAL. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A BIG PLASTIC TUB, THIS IS WAY MORE COMFY FOR BABY.
Customer Review: got this to use with 2nd child Summary: 3 Stars
I actually had looked at the Leachco Safer Bather and wish I had gotten that one instead of this one. This one is okay. I like how it cushions the baby with warm water that seeps into the material underneath. My biggest complaint is the stand that is attatched to the back. I find that it's hard to manuver to adjust the incline. It does take a good long time for all the water to get out and for it to dry. I usually hang it over the side of the tub to help the process along. I guess if you're reading this review I would strongly suggest buying the Leachco brand. It has over 500 reviews and 4.5 stars.
