Customer Review: These are great trays!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

We recently bought 2 of these for a longish road trip to my inlaws' home. I have 2 very active three year olds with VERY short attention spans- these trays were great for them! First off, they are lightweight and easily stored in our vehicle, plus they are soft and thus should not hurt our children in the event of an accident. Second, they were very easy to hook and unhook from their car seats, so pretty easy to get them in and out of their seats when we made stops. Third, they LOVE the side pockets for storage- it made it so easy for them to stick their cups and other activities in the pockets so they could move on to another project. Fourth, these were handy trays for eating their snacks/meals while we were on the go!
The only downside I could see to these trays (and it was not even that much of a downside) was that they would slightly slope in to my children's laps (rather than staying flat), so food/crayons/etc had a tendnacy to slide closer to their bodies rather than stay on the outside edges of the trays. But overall, these were WELL worth the investment!

Customer Review: Good but could be better
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently purchased this tray for a 7 hour drive trip. My daughter is almost 3 and cannot even stand to sit in her car seat for 5 minutes. This tray worked fairly well but my only problem (and a big one in my opinion) is that it doesn't have a 4th wall so things like crayons and crackers would slide down into the car seat. I love the pockets on the sides and the tray is easily removable and very light. I didn't have my daughter eat meals on this tray because I knew it wouldn't work (but I bought it knowing it wouldn't work) so if you are looking to buy a tray so kids can eat on the go, this isn't for you. I do recommend Baby Bjorn's bibs though for any kind of eating in the car. For the 7 hour drive, I entertained my daughter with hidden picture books, puzzles, Wiki Sticks (they are better than Bendaroos), Peperoni, and sticker books. I would recommend having a clipboard handy if you want your kids to color, do puzzles, etc since this tray doesn't have a hard surface. I also brought along a portable DVD player and this tray was sturdy enough to hold it.

Customer Review: Best money I've spent in awhile!
Summary: 5 Stars

We travel approx 15 hrs straight driving to see family. We have a 3yo daughter & this tray has been AMAZING! She can eat on it, color, play princesses, draw, play-doh, almost anything. She asks for it almost as soon as we get in the truck.
The tray is super easy to attach to the carseat. (she has a Britax Marathon) I love that they thought to have snaps on either side. I can attach/detach it from the front passenger seat going down the interstate or from the door side when we stop. I know some of complained about it being flimsy-it isn't hard, but doesn't cave in. I wouldn't want a hard plastic object attached to her in case of an accident anyway, so this is fine with me. Her arms are still a little short to totally reach in the pockets, but it still makes finding toys easier for me. The ledge around the 3 sides is great to keep things from rolling off. She was even able to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast in the truck without making a mess!
It is nice for trips around town but absolutely priceless for long car trips. Definitely worth the money.

Customer Review: Pretty good
Summary: 4 Stars

I got these for my 16 month old and my just-turned-3 year old because we were going to be making two long road trips this summer. The first trip we took was two days - about 8 hours each day. My 3yo loved it, but my 16mo hated it. My 3yo used it for coloring, playing with trains, and loved putting his sippy cup in the side pockets. My 16mo wouldn't even let me put it on.

The trays are soft foam, and at first I was worried that they wouldn't be hard enough to hold shape, but that was fine. I like that they are light weight and can be removed and tossed to the back easily when not in use. The can even be folded up pretty small and stored in the back of the van, which is something the hard plastic trays won't do.

My only concern with this tray is that it won't hold up long term. I guess it doesn't need to last forever, but it would be nice if it still held its shape a couple of years from now. We'll see.

I'd say it's definitely worth the money, especially if you're going on long road trips.

Customer Review: FANTASTIC!!
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought these for our road trip to Disneyland (12 hours from our house!!!). We had a 5 year old in a regular booster, and a 2 year old in a full on car seat with higher sides. I did what a previous review said, and slipped the strap behind the seats, clipping and unclipping the tray as needed, and they worked perfectly! They stay pretty sturdy if you tighten them as tight as you can. They were handy when eating, though I wish they had a cup holder built in somehow. That is my only complaint. I loved the pockets on the sides, where we stored baggies of crayons, small puzzles and hot wheels. They also hold sippy cups pretty well, but my 2 year old didnt really catch on that there were pockets there, as they were out of sight for him, so we still had to hand him stuff.

I ordered mine a week before I needed them, and I got them 3 days before the trip, which was great, as they need time to lay flat before use. (they are folded up in the package) I highly recommend these, for road trips long AND short. They saved our sanity! LOL
