Customer Review: Don't let assembly stories scare you...

Bought this through amazon.com from Target. Shipping was substantially cheaper than ordering from Target.com directly.
Admittedly, I was a little aprehensive about the order based on the reviews of some. Specifically I was concerned about assembly. Reviewers described a nightmare scenario, but seeing how few parts it actually had, I ordered anyhow.

There are a total of 24 allen head screws that need to be installed during assembly, all the same exact size so no accidental mixups. This was a little weird, as the picture on the box had phillips head screws. Anyhow, they come with a little allen wrench in case you didn't have your own. Not particularly nice, but hey, whatever. I put one in by hand with the tool. I didn't run into the stripping issue(I assume of the screw head) but it does take quite a few turns of the wrench to get that guy in there all the way. Being impatient, I took the tool down to the workshop and cut the bend off so I had a straight hex tool. I got my cordless drill and put it in as a bit to finish the job. Assembly took maybe 20 minutes.

I will give prospective purchasers this bit of advice:
The bins are great. If you already have hex bits for your cordless drill, go ahead and use them. It will make short work of assembly.

If you aren't comfortable with the hardware included, grab one as a sample and head to the hardware store. Buy 24 of whatever head style you prefer and assemble using those. There's nothing special about the hardware that is included, it's just cheap.

The bins are quite nice and my daughter likes them very much. I would not hesitate to buy them again, although free shipping would sweeten the pot.
