Baby Products Reviews of Springmaid Baby Waterproof Crib Pad - Big DotCustomer Review: Great for Co-Sleeping! Summary: 5 StarsI have 2 of these pads and am ordering lots more. They are super soft and wonderful at catching leaking breast milk, spit up, throw up etc. in a co-sleeping arrangement. Definitely soft enough to be next to baby's skin.
Customer Review: Absorbant, waterproof and attractive Summary: 5 StarsWorks as advertised - it stops leaks. I like the design as well. It gets a bit fuzzy after washing but does not look bad. You can also cut it if you want to customize it to something.
Customer Review: Does the job, but falls apart quickly. Summary: 4 StarsI use this as a mattress pad in my son's crib, and it does a good job of soaking up diaper leaks. It is a nice large size that covers most of the crib, since my son like to essentially do gymnastics all over the place in his crib when he sleeps, so you never know what corner he'll end up in.
My only complaints are: 1 - it "pills" and shreds a LOT after washing, so I will probably have to buy more before my son is six months old. 2 - since it doesn't attach to the mattress in any way, it can be difficult to situate between the mattress and the sheet without any lumps.
However, overall, it's a good product that I use all the time, and since it's decently priced, it's worth buying in my opinion.
Grade: B+
Customer Review: these are huge! Summary: 5 StarsWow! When they say they are crib sized, they aren't kidding. It will protect your crib mattress from end to end. Washed for first time according to instructions, they came out just fine. Intend to buy more of these as the first ones get worn.
Customer Review: Wonderful product Summary: 5 StarsBought this item based on recommendations from the Amazon community and elsewhere. While skeptical before using (was it *really* waterproof? how could it be 100% cotton and so soft and machine washable and still work?), I'm highly satisfied with the quality as well as versatility. Works as a crib mattress pad beneath sheets (and doesn't bunch up nearly as much as I thought, so is good enough to use rather than a fitted crib mattress pad); as a washable, waterproof cover for a changing pad; folded in half and on top of a clean towel for a newborn's sponge bath; in a diaper bag for a clean changing surface; etc etc. Relatively inexpensive and worth the price, buy multiples if you can.
