Customer Review: Pink & damaged - dangerous allergenic chemical applied???

I have used exfoliating cloths for decades and yet hadn't ever tried a 100% pure silk one but was excited to do so once I learned they exist. My order arrived promptly from Amazon. The packaging says it is 100% pure silk and hypoallergenic. The cloth looks well made. I decided to try it with just water as that is my most favorite usage with my other exfoliating cloths. While polishing my face, I found it to be more gentle yet still effective at exfoliating leaving my face only slightly pink. However, while using the cloth I started wondering what is that smell? yuch! I finally realized the smell was coming from the 100% natural pure silk cloth! I stopped using it on my face and tried rinsing it and washing it and still that smell! I shortly thereafter developed a headache and rash. You can easily smell that there is something to the cloth other than 100% pure silk! None of my silk clothing smells like that! I think the reviewer that said she thinks the cloth contains fiberglass as her face looks that way after using it, had a reaction to the chemical. The cloth seemed to be of household quality not cosmetical quality and is counting upon the chemical to get the job done. Silk is soften than the cotton, nylon, polyester, etc fibers typically used in these cloths. Customers, however, choose these cloths to have a natural chemical-free cleanse and exfoliation. Avoid! I recommend instead NuFountain® Microfiber Exfoliating Cloth For Face or Body.
