I was a bit scared at first because the box that it came in was all bruised and it was making noises as if there were some broken or loose parts. But after opening it up everything was fine. The instructions are actually pretty bad... it took me a while to put it together... and the quality of some of the hardware is not great. But once I put the whole thing together it looked beautiful. The shipping was fast too... we got it 3 days after putting in the order.
It's a nice piece of furniture... the things I would recommend to the manufacturer is to do a better job on the packaging, upgrade the quality on some of the hardware, and re-do the instruction manual.

This product definitely looks nice, once it's put together. Putting it together was a challenge. It took my husband 4 hours to do it. He has never had such a hard time putting together furniture before! Some of the screws didn't want to screw in all the way, so my husband had to put extra screws just to make sure that it was sturdy. I'm not due until next month, so I'll have to see how well it works out with my baby. But it shouldn't be that hard to put together a piece of furniture!Customer Review: Never Again!

I have never written a review for any item I've ordered from Amazon, but I felt compelled to do so regarding this product. The item arrived featuring a significant crack. My husband, who is highly educated and definitely can read and is a contractor so he can build houses, found the instructions to be convoluted. I planned to order the matching cabinet, but I will never order another South Shore product again.Customer Review: south shore changetable

this changetable may look cute, but the quality is not there. Everything is partical board. When nailing it together it can cause damage inside b/c it is partical board. I would not buy this changetable again.Customer Review: great piece

I am very happy with this changing table. The cubbie holes are perfect fcr the things that need to be in fast reach. It is sturdy and attractive. This is my second child, and I was pretty sure I knew what sort of thing I wanted....
Only caveats are yes, it is complicated, not hard, but complicated to put together. My seven year old helped and we had fun. It took about 2 hours. It is also a very heavy piece of furniture, but that is why it is sturdy.
